Absolutely agree, I mean I've watched a lot of KZbin videos In my time trying to learn the drop shipping model and other things and I mean even down to the speed that she talks is almost perfect, you have KZbinrs out there that talk a million miles an hour and you don't understand and you can't compute what they're saying but she makes it so easy. @@CassiyJohnson Hey Cassiy I have a question, so I'm going to be opening my own home decor store in the drop shipping model to start, and then of course I would like to Brand it at some time. Everything is set up with the drop shipping store I've registered my company name and all that and my question to you is I'm going to start doing the print on demand model through Etsy and redbubble etc. Eventually I would also like to sell the print on demand products that are in the home decor, kitchen niche on my drop shipping store. Now do you think that I should name my Etsy store and my redbubble store the same business name as my drop shipping business since eventually they are going to be combined or at least some of the items? Non-home decor items such as t-shirts I plan on still selling on Red bubble and such. So I wasn't sure if I should kind of do this as an all-in-one This way I only have one company to promote or do you think I should really just name my store whatever I want on Etsy and those others?

Welcome to your first Q4!! Yes it's totally normal to be nervous and overwhelmed when just getting started. It's just like a new job, you wouldn't expect to be comfortable and know what to do fully for 60-90 days right? But with POD there is not orientation or a boss telling you what to do all day. It will be a process to figure out but trust me, it's all worth it!!

@@CassiyJohnson the best advice was the credit card. I’m in Canada so I’ve just been using my bank debit card because I’ve only had minimal sales and didn’t bother with the credit card. When you started talking cash flow and 700 orders in one day, well that took me back for a second. I definitely couldn’t handle the cash flow of even 70 orders in one day let alone 100’s. So, new business card has been ordered and is in the mail!! I even got a rewards card so I can have a vacation next year too LOL 🛫✈️🛬

Merry! OMG - this is pure gold! SO many great tips and answers to so many of those questions I've had! And it's all that's giving me hope right now! I've been on Etsy since March and have only made 14 sales and my daily views and visits are usually less than 5. But I've been putting in the work, checking SEO and tags, fixing mockups, etc - I just don't know how to get seen. Do you think with the holiday season we'll have more of a chance even as start up shops?

Congrats on getting started and hanging in there Jamie!! I know it can be hard in the beginning because you are starting knowing nothing and have to master 15 different things and it takes time! So don't feel discouraged, trust me there is a crazy cool opportunity here but you just have to get 1% better every day until you find your groove. I definitely think new shops can get seen more around Christmas because of the increased traffic but you need to make sure not to just focus on the basic xmas stuff like "Merry Christmas" shirts. You need to niche down and find the random niches that can sell well. Try to think of random things people are interested in like hobbies and see if people are making money selling Christmas sweaters! There will be so much more space to be found in these random small niches like a Chemisty themed ugly Christmas sweater, or Chickens, goats, sailing, Pickleball, Flamingo etc. The weirdest stuff sells on Christmas sweaters! Everyone wants to be hilarious and unique. And if you haven't done some good homework, make sure to find 10 shops that have opened in the last year or so and have lots of sales. Then really analyze their listings vs yours and see where you may be laking. Do you have great mockups, are your thumbnails too zoomed in/not enough zoomed In, can you read your design from the thumbnail. do you have beautiful photo cards to further sell them like how good of reviews you have, do you have a great size chart etc.

Happy almost 4th quarter to you as well! I don't specifically set as hard of a cutoff date for those as most people know and shipping times are still pretty quick right now. The big reason to do it for the holidays is because USPS gets overwhelmed and shipping gets very delayed on top of production delays around Christmas. But Thanksgiving and Halloween aren't so bad.

I am not yet but I recommend making sure you are offering the discount that Etsy will require to be shown in their holiday shop. They will email out in advance what this percentage will be and it's usually 15% - 20% off.
