Since August last year I began the Thoth journey. And without a doubt it is the most eye opening intuitive deck I ever picked up. Thank you for showing these comparisons. Through watching this I have seen even more details in both decks that hadn't been been visible before, (although nothing changed my eyes have opened through my minds alertness) It's something to now research further, what astrology meant to Alliette when he was alive versus the astrology and tree of life of the golden dawn. Thank you Marilyn 🙏 💜 🙏

This is very interesting Marilyn, but I just would like to inform you that you have got the pronunciation of Crowley wrong. Despite Aleister Crowley being born in England, the surname originates from Ireland. Most people do not realise there are two birds in the surname. Everyone sees Crow, but not the Owl. So, you pronounce Crowley with the Owl sound. Another way of remembering to pronounce Crowley is if you stump your foot and go Ow! I hope that helps. I do really enjoy your insight.

Thank you. It's funny, because in the past when I've pronounced it like owl, I was corrected then too. I appreciate knowing which is correct. Thank you. ~ Marilyn

@@MarilynFromTarotClarity It’s okay. I know that Crowley is referenced a lot in popular culture. There character Crowley in Supernatural and Good Omens. It’s pronounced correctly in Supernatural, but not in Good Omens. Crowley is has also been referenced in music. Ozzy Osbourne song Mr Crowley does have dark undertones (does clear a room). David Bowie was also heavily influenced by Crowley. Aleister Crowley is featured on The Beatles album Sergeant Pepper and the Lonely Hearts Band (title along that line)… Back to the Thoth deck it’s good to see the deck close up, as I can see the details much clearer.

Being English, I believe Crowley pronounced it as I did in this video. However if it is a Scotch name in origin, I understand that properly, it has a different pronunciation. My last name in Italian is pronounced quite differently than most Americans say it. In fact when asked our last name, I pronounce it differently than my husband does 🤣

@@MarilynFromTarotClarity Surnames are a funny thing! I’m English, but my Paternal Grandfather was from Ireland… Irish is slightly different to Scottish, but both considered to have Celtic culture… Generally think of Paganism/Druids… Very much based on the environment and nature… The Christian/Catholic church changed a lot of religious celebrations such as Easter and Halloween… Easter is to do with birth and Halloween is to do with death/celebrating our ancestors… There is a lot more to it than that, but I know Crowley used elements of Ancient Egypt and Paganism… Possibly, considering the Earth in relation to the Universe.
