One of the most important events for Rothenburg was the sack of the city by the count of Tilly during the Thirty Years' War. As Rothenburg, take revenge on Austria by getting the Burgundian Inheritance and pillaging Vienna right back (remember to name the general that does it Johann Tserclaes!)

This was a really fun one to watch! Very weird how Muscovy and Ottomans just folded, but Venice was an actual menace. Integrating Burgundy probably actually hurt Sweden more than it helped? Having its army in the wrong place so Dacke War or whatever that was blew up their mainland, then getting it all sieged down by some random pricks from Provence so they got peaced out easily? Having a semi-large landlocked exclave so far away is fairly screwy.

As Rothenburg my pitch would be a great country of fortress. So to lean further to it, i would suggest conquering the great fortlines in nearest position, so the alps in the south, verdun to the west and the sudetenland in the east. If you want or if it's helpful you can form any country you want

Those Boyar priveleges are very powerful, one gives you infantry discount (up to -25%) or infantry combat (if your ruler is a general, up to 20%) based on Boyar loyalty, the other gives up to 20% cav combat based on Boyar influence.

Unless things dramatically change in the final patches of eu4, I think the lasting impression of the game will be that Venice has gone from one of the easiest punching bags to one of the most challenging enemies to face. At least when facing admin quantity ottomans, you have had plenty of time as the player to snowball also. Venice will be strolling around with 100,000 troops 60 years into the game when you're playing a minor hre Prince.

The name Castille is inherited from the german naming of towns to "burg" meaning fortress or castle, from the german influences during the reconquista, so I think Rothenburg should re-reconquest castille and make it a proper burg.
