In today's Europa Universalis IV (EU4) video we will be deleting ALL nations in the world with at least 50 development and allowing the other remaining nations to fill the gap with colonial buffs. With a much more even playing field we should expect some interesting borders to result from this and the chaos that is likely to unfold because of it!

I'd like to see a run where you delete all modern countries, so stuff like France, Austria, Portugal, Khmer, Kongo and Albania go, but a lot of other tags like the Ottomans, England, Castille stay around until they make mistakes like forming Britain, Spain, the Netherlands etc. Something without all the boring current people and only the funny dead ones.

How do you actually remove nations from the game now? You used to be able to switch into observer mode and then annex the tags you wanted gone, and then they would just become uncolonized land. Now they just get occupied by the observer and don't get removed. I would greatly appreciate it if anyone had a solution. Thanks!

If you know anything about modding then it's super easy, you use a run file and choose the scope (nation you want deleted) and then every_owned_province and then { cede_province = --- } and that does the trick. Here's the wiki page on it, super helpful :D eu4.paradoxwikis.com/Run_files
