If the Ming vassal ones are too difficult by yourself, can you release some (or all) of the Ming vassals, then play coop with each person working together as a different Ming vassal to achieve the same goals of "Ming doesn't exist" and "Colonialism embraced with someone with Colonialism below as a Great Power?"

Yeah, just wait 'til you roll 3 Ming vassals, then do a co-op with tSS and Z (of course, in that case, in addition to making Ming not exist and becoming great powers, the 3 of you must then shift into Highlander mode and brutally exterminate each other).

Alternatively, release all of Ming's vassals and the goal should be for Ming and their other vassals not to exist along with the goal of becoming a great power.

Problem is that releasing all the vassals will weaken the mandate of Heaven, meaning war will become inevitable regardless. And if Ming releases all the nations from within, the Hordes, specially Oirat and the Manchu Tribes will get very bold with Over Extention.

Bro, if you release a nation, it starts with the same reform tree of your own nation. That's why you will never get full hordes when you release a nation from another horde. It just puts you into that reform tree. The same could be applied to nations that have nothing to do with hordes too. You can start as crimea, no cb byzantium, release them and it makes you a tribe. You can later go horde with byzantium. That's why you were disappointed with astrakhan and bashkiria this time too.

Honestly at this point just get a small MP session of the worst Ming releaseables set like 3 goals, the normal 2 of destroying ming and being GP, and another one of owning significant Ming cities. Maybe rotate through the nations with each goal. So if you destroyed Ming as say Dali, you'd then rotate to Changsheng inheriting previous players nation.

Asturias: Haven't done them before, but you could have some fun with allying Portugal or France if possible (Spain would be better but you have to DoW on them so), Conquer Ireland and colonize North America. I mean otherwise it's just... another Spain. Edit: Or snake to the Mediterranean in the independence war, conquer it starting with North Africa. Have Spain release Barcelona and make a second Rome/conquer south and east Europe and Tunis together. Reverse Visigoths, from spilt history and dispersion to unity and reconquest.

I think i had Asturias as a vassal in a Bologna > texas run (Spaghetti western achievement). Someone forced castille to release them and they started colonizing in south america. Later they were exiled and became a new world country when castille took back their cores in Iberia. I fed them most of south america and had them as a march all game long.

I think you should play as Dali, but try nation ruining ming or smth. I'd rather yoou play them and brake the rules, then you don't play them at all.

The map color, steppe nomad, and “nobody plays it” gave Bashkiria away for me. The minor hordes like Sarig Yogir, Kara Del, and the Siberian tribes seem difficult and rng heavy, but worth playing. At least with Bashkiria you can destroy the overlord before releasing, then ally their rivals.
