I have the S330 doorbell and its been great, been using since it launch but I did upgrade to the E340 last week mainly for the colour night vision. Problem with my door location is makes it impossible to use the IR without using a custom 3D printed angled bracket that tilts at a much steeper angle than the included one because IR bounces off the side of my wall and causes a complete white out. The LEDs on the E340 fixed this issue and I now have clear view at night. It is a shame they removed radar detection on the new one and I have no idea why they did that, can't be cost as there is extremely little difference in price when both are bought as addons. Whether they thought PIR on its own was more than enough and radar on top was overkill, or maybe the radar detection caused unnecessary false triggers I don't know. Love the E340 though, it's a bit smaller and more refined, would have been nice it they upped the sensor to 4K or even 3K as they have been using 2K for a long while now. The removable battery is actually very handy, because if I buy a second one I can just pop in a new battery when the previous one gets low so instead of being down for many hours to charge so I'm only offline for about 10 seconds.

Does E340 WITHOUT chime and without subscription sends push notifications to mobile phone?

@@t7ank It does, the chime is just an accessory you don't need if you don't want it but if you use the Home Base then that can act as a chime as well. Eufy does not hold basic things like notifications, live streaming or AI features etc behind a subscription paywall like other companies, it's the main reason I use Eufy cameras.

I have the S330 doorbell and the audio quality while speaking from the app to the doorbell is really bad, as shown in your video (14:30). As I can hear in your demo, the audio quality while speaking to the visitor is also bad on the new doorbell (14:52). Is there any firmware update? I think, the speaking quality ist not acceptable and I'm interesting, if eufy has fixed the problem.

Im interested in this too and I have noticed the audio is bad but he is using it wirelessly a think a wired connection should improve this

haha funny - testing mic would have been better if you didn't stack them up - and if you put them side by side the E340 would have been the same volume. Also that was a terrible idea using the your mic omg... You forgot to mention that hardwiring the units has got better video quality.

Thanks for making this video. I have the S330 and wanted to see how it looked next to the E340. Theyre basicly the same size. Color night vision seems like a marking term, Its just useing more light. If you already have the S330 this isnt an upgrade If your in the market for one, I'd probably go with the E340. One this to note, the S330 has Radar Detection as to how that helps I'm not sure.

Great review but may I suggest you add something? Many of us bought the wired S330 and this came with a very unreliable face recognition feature. Practically useless in it's accuracy but nonetheless a very useful feature as we get many deliveries. This way we can separate delivery people from family and acquaintances with the alerts but in this model, like I stated before it's useless as it does not use the Face id algorithm the home base 3 provides. Is the S330 battery model (which is currently on clearance sale) as good in face recognition as the new E340 model or does the E340 provide better accuracy?

No it's not - Both S330 and E340 can be hardwired - Hardwired will always give you a better video quality and in turn give you a more accurate AI reading. E340 is better in many ways including the AI face recognition - It is not recommended without the Homebase as the SD card is placed internally into the doorbell - if someone crowbars your doorbell there goes your doorbell and your videos. also you don't get a chime. But paired with Homebase 3 AI detection is better than S330 as long as its hardwired and positioned well.

I have E340 and that shit go crazy sometime , sometime not detected anything . I have s220 and work perfect is very old doorbell but better video then e340 ithink E is the sheap S is the best s220 use sony camara

I also had all 2 here and testet them for 2 days each. In my opinion the olt S330 is still better (better image quality, better Soundquality and some more features like radar detection) respons is the same, Color Night image with light is useless on the new one.

Is it true that the S330 has better detection due to the radar? And is there a night vs day difference in that regard? Another review I saw said the old one seems to have better speakers/mic. If that's the case then I guess only advantage of E340 is the spare battery. How often do you need to charge the S330 if not hardwired?

Sounds fine to me. You can always set the video playback speed to 75% speed.
