Yes, that's a bit crap. It says 'siren'. Very loud beeps isn't a siren. WW2 air raid sirens are sirens. This things not nearly loud enough. Even if it has to be wired, loud & annoying enough so my neighbours can't sleep through it.

I am in a two story house so I'm hoping that multiple alarms can be added to a house, as I would love to have one downstairs and upstairs. The product definitely has significant room for improvement and the lack of siren tones is disappointing.

The alarm on the Floodlight cam 2 pro (S330) is actually awesome as an outdoor alarm. I want that sound and volume in the Siren. That’s all i’m asking. And the delay ofcourse.

I have a S340..one of many Eufy cams/products…..anyhow can you set the siren to go off at motion if you don’t have the alarm system? On the cameras that I have I only see manually setting the alarm off. I was wanting to put one of these outside and have it trigger with some of my cameras….but I do not see a way this would work. Any help would be appreciated! And as always………..another GREAT video.

Interesting about the alarm delay... Have you tried to setup an automation in the app, have Homebase -> Alarm, as the trigger, then add an action to set the Eufy Siren off then? Does the automation allow this and therefore include the delay that the Homebase is set to?

I had unfortunately already ordered these from Amazon US (I am in Australia). They set up and test correctly but nothing I do will get them to trigger. Anyone have any ideas? I've emailed Eufy.

Thanks for this review! You saved me $30. Or whatever it costs. I was very disappointed with the homebase 3 alarm. It sounds like my kid’s Paw Patrol fire truck. I was hoping for a much louder alarm. Guess it won’t be this one.

Thank you for your honest review. This product is not ready for practical use. Regarding your s330 camera with the built in solar panel. Have you experienced and delaminating on the panel? Eufy issued new cameras with different built in solar panels.

The 15 second delay has to be an easy fix that they just overlooked. Kind of sad that they overlooked such a basic feature, it might shed some light on their quality assurance department or lack of. My biggest issue would be the tone. I want the alarm to be something that is annoying, loud, hurts and something my neighbors and everyone else can identify. This sounds like a glorified smoke detector.

Just got two of them….tested it for water…not freezing… so far so good. I also have two Ring water sensors, water tank went out, sensor saved me. Luckily I had one right near it. Water tank sprung a leak and got notified in about two seconds …shut off the water as I was home ….and saved me. I love these types of sensors.

Thanks so much. I have been waiting a loooooong time for something like this since the homebase alarm is so quiet and can’t be heard downstairs. Sorry it sucks…. But I may get one HOPING they improve it. We enable alarm from phone outside so the siren delay is not CRITICAL, but unfortunate. VERY WEIRD part is I just had a 3 email complaint with Eufy that they NEEDED a siren product and the TS did NOT ever mention the existence of this product. This was 2 weeks ago. Also, my other complaint was the HOMEBASE STOPS the alarm after a few minutes. Is this really true? It SHOULD blare the siren until the alarm is disabled. Am I missing something? As per the siren 🚨 product omission the Eufy support started with BAD AI answer and then BAD INCOMPET human answer. I REALLY like Eufy, but they seem to REALLY be dropping ball on alarm. As you probably know, they discontinued the keypad. 5 months ago they said it was just out of stock and eventually said they were replacing it. But many months later… nothing. Do you know what is up with their lack of keypad? And am I missing something on the insane issue of siren 🚨 stopping after a couple minutes. Did you try setting up an automation (app -> security tab - > automation) so the Siren sounds only when the Homebase alarm sounds? Just thinking that would get around issues like the entry delay, etc.

I had an alarm in my house. Two years ago we were robbed. The first thing they did was locate the siren and smash it!! The police said the best thing to have is a camera system which I have now. So far so good.

Great video! Eufy continues to disappoint; what a shame. Thanks for showing us how bad this product is. One suggestion: at the end of the video, you have the sound effect of a mouse clicking on subscribe and the bell. Can you please lower the volume of that sound effect or remove it altogether? It's more annoying than the siren is. It's also not in sync with the video. Thanks!

Lifehackster, you made me aware of 30 second siren auto-disable. I decided to still try Siren Hoping they would firmware fix a 30 second siren disable: they replied with the following line that makes it clear they will NEVER let alarm sounds to last more than 30 seconds. What are your thoughts on this reply from them? Do Ring and other alarm systems have this problem ? Alarm DISABLES ITSELF even before a burgled needs to worry about it. Here is Eufy’s rare human response: “We want to assure you that the 30-second siren duration is by design and is intended to work within the parameters of our security system. SORRY GUYS BUT MAIN QUESTION IS : Why Eufy has removed the option to set the duration of the camera’s siren to what ever we want….. when a motion is detected the siren of any Eufy cameras goes on for like 3 seconds and then shuts off ….. 🤔 why ….. why … why …. When i’m away and my cameras detect motions, i want to be able to set the duration of the siren of my cameras as long as i want …. ARLO has the option to set siren duration of the cameras between 0 to 60 seconds… Best is 0 to 3 minutes minimum works way better to scare someone….

Are you serious? I have my movement and door sensors to trigger the alarm and lights on both my e340 floodlight cams out front and back of house. I haven't tested them, do they really only sound for 3 seconds ?

@@martiangod yes 😑😑 I use eufy cameras for about 5 years now, love their system, simple and effective….. BUT WHY …. At the begining, the app was allowing me to set the duration of the siren of each cameras, and for no reason they removed that options 😑 So now, when motions are detected the sirens of the cameras sounds for like 2, 3 seconds… if a new motion is detected it sounds again for 2 seconds…… why ….. 😑😑 Like i said at the beginning you could set duration of the siren… and now we can’t do that …. Probably to save battery…. If i want to kill my battery faster just let me do it Plus the sirens of the cameras are really loud and perfect to scare and dissuade people with wrong intentions or thieves…. SO WHY REMOVE THAT SETTING Like i said ARLO has that setting available …

This is absolutely pathetic.... Why would Eufy release this siren? In my opinion, it's quiet, slow, and not "alarming" or "startling". Alarms need to be obnoxious and startling. This is not worth it in my opinion.

Well... that was a huge disappointment (the siren, not your review. Your review was great). I can't believe Eufy released such a garbage joke of a device. *beep beep beep* for the alarm sound? Are you kidding me?!! The HB3 may not be as loud but it actually sounds like an alarm, even the low camera alarms sound better than the siren. The siren sounds like a device that needs it's batteries replaced. I hope Eufy addresses all of the issues that makes this a highly inferior product at this time. I'm glad I didn't buy it.
