He was my hero growing up! My #22 Dolphins jersey was my prized possession. Watching him run was electric. I've often wondered what his career would have looked like, had he landed as a featured back someplace. Sempaii, tell your father THANK YOU, from all the people like me who spent every down of every Dolphins game, waiting for Mercury Morris to get the ball!

Took the words right out of my mouth. Couldn't say it any better. When I was in 4th and 5th grade, I would close my eyes and I was Mercury Morris running with the ball, cutting up the field ... don't know how many defenders I left clutching air and laying in the turf lol. Did not miss a game... and the Immaculate Season...Mercury will always be one of my heroes.

Mercury Morris was an electrifying player. Each time I saw him line up in the backfield, I knew the opposing defense was about to get shredded. When you talk about some of the greatest players in Miami Dolphins’ history, you have to include the incredible Mercury Eugene Morris.

Your dad? Seriously? I wasn't a Dolphins fan per se, but all football fans loved to watch Mercury. He was an artist. There is nothing a great improvisational runner. Some i light one up, pour some wine and watch half an hour of runners -- Dorsett, OJ, Mercury, Sayers, Eric D -- guys who took on the whole defense and ran through them like a chased cat. Your father was brilliant. Thanks for sharing.

Mercury Morris is awesome. Big, strong, fast, clever, smart, shifty . . what more do you want from a RB? He could run around you just as easily as he could run through you. The dude ran like a man possessed!

If you were in Miami during the Glory Days and I don't mean Marino, Duper, Clayton and Moor, as great as it was, I'm talking about 71 through 73 and possibly 74 were some of the greatest football on both sides of the ball ever played, with some of the greatest players to have ever played the game, in one of the greatest stadiums to ever play football "the City of Miami Welcomes You to the Miami Orange Bowl"
