i was so confused with the lays packaging. in my country the classic lays are red and the yellow ones have the flavor cheese onion or patatje joppie which is tbh my favorite flavor (fun fact that flavor was the winner of some competition the manufacturer had in my country in 2010 and it's based on a sauce that we sometimes eat with fries)

Original flavour chips (lays, smiths, etc) always have a blue pack in Australia. The yellow is usually a weird cheese flavour. Red is reserved for the nacho cheese Doritos and really spicy chips lol. When I went to America I thought it was "weird" original flavour chips are in a yellow pack but honestly it does make more sense than blue.

Plain Lay's are one of my favorites. (Plain Ruffles too.) I specifically like them because they're not strongly flavored, and thus can go with anything whereas something like Doritos that has a distinctive flavor is more likely to clash with other food items you're eating. If I'm *JUST* eating chips though, Salsa Verde Doritos all the way.

@@anix712 I agree, plain potato chips are my favourite because they pair well with different beverages (from white wine to cocktails) and other aperitif foods. That is the same reason why Matt likes the original lays. I also like thinner chips better than kettle chips. I think Eugene and Becky prefer to eat chips by themselves and therefore like strong standalone flavours. If I have to pick a flavoured chip, I choose Paprika, which is a popular flavour in Europe.
