A reason Kirito said he can't swing two swords is due to the weight of two divine objects, aside from that he has developed a form of PTSD a d mental rejection towards his identity as the black swordsman and dual blade kirito. He feels guilty over completing sao on floor 75 hence why he rarely dual blades since out of disgust towards himself, he also has a bad omen over having both swords

Also because Underworld doesn't have Dual Blade Sword Skills like ALO so there's no system assistance that can help him execute those slashes properly.

@@Animemus what are you talking about, ALO doesn't have Dual Blades either, it was stated very clearly in the Novels (anime did a shoddy job elaborating on it) that Ymir took over the game from Rect (Asuna company) and discovered the SAO files they implemented Aincrad but among the files was the Unique Skill, they choose not to implement it because the requirements to obtain them was unfair. Anyone can dual blades in ALO, there is no system assist. In a side interview it is claimed that Kirito is attempting to replicate the skill via OSS system In Underworld Kirito like ALO, has Dual Blades and can reproduce the moves via muscle memory, he also has Skill Connect a outside system skill (exploit) and one hand sword skills as for Star Burst Stream he produced it via Incarnation as to actually having the true Dual Blades in UW, that all depends if the unique skill was there to begin with

@@Animemus ah misread but the other simple fact is that Kirito doesn't want to Dual Blades ever since SAO ended, he has a mental block and self hatred towards himself as the black swordsman to the loint where he rejects and buries that side of himself

One thing in the first book of Alicization, Kirito almost left the branch behind, because he had a feeling if he made a second sword to go with the Blue Rose Sword, that those two swords would eventually clash, anime skipped it, but this fight was foreshadowed at the very beginning.

One thing to mention, even tho Alice broke the seal in her eye she didnt get her memories back yet, her breaking the seal was because she was rebelling against the church(or more like superior, like how Eugeo cant kill the disgusting 2 nobles from before, cause commoner has to obey the noble) which i think violate the taboo index and right know Eugeo has already broke his seal when he cuts the noble hand, and Alice's memories cube are still somewhere else
