Wow! That was exciting, with twists and turns around every corner. I didn't know Marcus Marienfeld but his glasses are stunning and, perhaps, if I were pushed, I would say they are the best on this list. I would also love to own a pair of Lindberg buffalo horn glasses. There is one eyewear workshop that stands above all others, however. Made in France, totally bespoke... Maison Bonnet. Robert most certainly wins the MVP of this tournament. He makes Ronaldo look like Pee Wee Herman at Tupperware party.

@@walterlee4796 Me too. I don't have $20,000 for a pair of hawksbill turtle glasses so I've encouraged Robert to make the trips (yes, plural) needed to Paris to get a pair for himself and make a series of videos about the process. This way I can live my dream of owning a pair of Maison Bonnets vicariously through Robert. Besides, Robert deserves the very best, don't you think?

Hi, thanks for the video. Once again I've learnt about some new brands. I have a off topic question, if you don't mind. Have you ever heard of rim blocking screws? I'm asking because I saw some strange looking pieces of titanium on Gotti "Lyan" frames (big chunks of titanium attached to the main frame on both sides on the inside of the main frame). I have asked about it Gotti customer support and they gave that exact answer "rim blocking screws". Those supposedly keep the frame together. Now I know screws are necessary sometimes but I never saw anything like it. Seems like those are very intrusive and can be irritating while using the frames. I can't put the image there, unfortunately.

Hey man, have an off topic question. Do the zeiss clear view lenses that have 700 focus points give you a clear sharp view while looking anywhere in the lens horizontally or does it behave the same vertically too?

I don't know much about eye wear except the fact that I like them. I am currently a Vuarnet customer and really love my Aspen X, Louis Vuitton is letting me down BIG time, don't understand what's going on with them, my Conspiration Mask sunglasses where a work of art. Now to this video, sorry - not sorry, Cartier wins, hands down, presentation, lens quality, attention to detail, and the fact that they don't let you buy the sunglasses in their online store, but instead ask you to book an appointment for a proper fitting and to show you all the options and give their customers the treatment they deserve, yes! You pay over $1,000 USD., but you are paying for the whole package 📦, Cartier is just simply THE BEST THERE IS! ❤

*Excellent* collection of contenders. I absolutely *love* hearing new names. Another great example of content that would benefit from a list of hyperlinks in the description. Pause… rewind… listen… write… new window… paste… loading… 404… check spelling… correct… reload… Found it!… return to the video… And then do it all again. Seven more times. I’d do it myself in the comments, but YT forbids it (for good reason. all anyone would ever see is naughty pictures, crypo, and free ipds). I’d can say with confidence, people would bookmark these videos for the list of reference links alone, regardless of how they felt about the content. I’m constantly forgetting the names of certain designers. To wit; _“I think I saw them in the titanium video from a few weeks ago? (goes to video…) There they are! Now what was their name? Bingo! There it is in the description.”_ There’s almost certainly room for a solution that’s more elegant in terms of technology and implementation, but I’m not a KZbins, so I’m unfamiliar with the “paradigm.” Lord that’s a horrible word. Is it even possible to say it without rolling one’s eyes? --- Fun fact; I just had a seizure whilst writing this! Look at the clock… Blink… Suddenly 4.5 hours instantly evaporated into thin air? Silver lining, at least I didn’t regain consciousness up on the floor, broken bones, lying in a pool of my own blood. EDIT: It _might_ have been an alien abduction, but my foil-hat is in the shop. We’ll have to wait for its return before I continue my investigation. I’ll keep you informed of any meaningful developments. *REAL QUESTION:* Can you recommend a pair of frames that will survive a violent, convulsive, head-smashing, bone-breaking, tooth-chipping, pants-soiling, blood on your face, grand-mal drop-seizure (concrete, not carpet) that happen without aura or warning? I could *seriously* get on board with such a thing should it exist. If it helps, my favourite colour is red, I’ve a soft spot for genuine tortoise shell, and my (negotiable) ceiling is ~$3k Cdn.
