Great tie, very simple fly, I think I could tie a few of these, with some slightly different materials, as I prefer small size Caddis hooks over jig and straight shank nymph hooks. Thank you for this pattern.

Had the Orvis hooks in my hand yesterday at the Orvis shop but put them back because I was looking for size 14 for the Euro Pheasantail and put them back. Looking forward to tying them. great pattern, I've think if you snip the rubber legs at a steep angle with really sharp scissors to make a taper in the rubber legs, it looks even better

it's nice, but I like them to at least look like one. Maybe the fish don't care. There are so many theories about what the fish respond to. I believe it is movement. Color may have something to do with it, not sure. I think movement is the key to the predatory, fish. All the best and thanks for sharing. Sean
