One area your missing out on is the force feedback a wheel offers. Nothing l like turning a corner and having the wheel straighten itself as you come out of the turn. or the resistance of the wheel gives you.

Some hotas have forcefeedback too. And i believe this setup benefits more for people who already have a hotas and play more flying stuff but might want to play eurotruck sometimes…. (My case exactly)

The way you described it at 3:35 looks like its way more comfortable than my wheel setup. Not even the buttons on the wheel are in comfortable reach for me(even tho the wheel is smaller than in real life cars) (Logitech G29) and the other buttons are on the keyboard because there arent that many buttons on the wheel. You having 20 buttons left unassigned is mind blowing. (i am running out of buttons on my keyboard too, ETS2 has many functions) Aside from not reaching buttons, having to turn a 900 degree wheel and having to move between 3 pedals and having to shift gears with the H-shifter ( i drive manual because as someone coming from high action racing games the automatic gearbox is annoying and slow and i lose precious milliseconds because its shifting like an idiot) , plus the occasional keyboard and mouse inputs, make it really exhausting when you want to relax and are doing something else than cruising on a straight highway. I havent played ETS2 on keyboard since i got my wheel but i often play racing games on keyboard since pressing wasd and eq requires way less physical movement and so it is way more relaxing. perfect for when you are a little tired. (also because i used to and still play roblox racing games)

I recall people trying the other way around .. wheel + pedals for flight . it worked good So why not this way :) Looks great :)

I'm disabled and my joints hurt when I push a button for too long. I use my mouse for steering and a Logitech ATK3 for everything else almost.
