Well... here in the U.S. the mask mandate on flights has dropped some time ago (apparently due to poilitical reasons, rather than for health ones). Indeed, a couple of weeks ago we flew to Riviera Maya (Mexico) and back without any problem. Still, it is my understanding that when we will fly to Munich at the beginning of July (from the U.S.) masks will have to be worn and that when we will go to the Siena province in August (still from the U.S.) masks might not be an issue anymore. Lots of contraddicting information. We will se after 6/15...

I love your videos! I am wondering if I am understanding the 72 hour PCR test to enter Italy. My flight leaves Austin, Texas on Monday May 23 at 4:00 pm and arrives in Venice on May 24 at 2:00 pm. I believe if I take the test after 7:00 am on May 21, I should be within that time frame. Is this correct?

If you just tried to take it as late as possible before your flight you should be fine

First LOVE all your videos and been helpful as we get ready to come to Italy THIS WEEKEND - I am freaking a little because not sure I understand one thing - We are flying from JFK to Portugal via TAP - small layover then to Italy. all vaxed and boosted - I keep seeing something about needing a test before we fly out to Portugal even if not leaving the airport - IS THIS TRUE???? HELPP side note hope to see you in Florence next week.

While we are on our day trips in Italy, do we need to carry our actual passports? Or will a copy suffice? Just afraid of losing the real thing. Keep your videos coming. Always interesting!!

I have a question, do I need to get a green pass to travel Europe? My hotel is asking to send the green pass beforehand. How can I send them before even reaching to Europe!

Haha. The energy is natural. Don't worry. The hotel can't ask u for it. It's your vax card. But they don't have a right to ask anymore.

I was wondering about the restrictions to visit The Vatican. Have they changed mask rules? Do you need N95 Masks to visit The Vatican? I’m so glad I found your channel. Linda, you need FFP2 masks (I bought them from Amazon before my departure). I just went there two days ago. I am also a fan of Greg. He has helped me a lot.

thanks to you and Mu Hu too! You need an FFP2 for the Vatican, I just checked. But don't worry, you won't need it in many places, just on public transport as well when you are in Italy.

Hi Gregor question so to go to Italy is either a NEGATIVE PCR OR ALL 2 vaccines plus the booster, right? I do have the booster but I will take the PCR. But PCR is always requested, right?

You need a PCR or rapid test if you do not have a vaccine but if you have a vaccine the primary cycle needs could be from the last 9 months or you will need a booster and there is no time limitation on that

When are you going?

@@GregorBrown our flight is June 24th, then we cruise June 26 to July 4 and spend 5 days in rome before going home. We can’t wait but are a little nervous about the Covid test we need to do the day before the cruise. We bought the Binax Now proctored tests and hope that goes well. I have read that pharmacies in Rome can do the tests for around 25 to 30 euros so that’s my backup plan if for some reason the self tests don’t work out. All you need is an internet connection so the tests should go well but I like to be prepared. Thanks. Have a great day.
