I had to look up this railtour. It was organised by GTF, a society of railway enthusiasts based at Liège in cooperation with Copef, a similar society from France. I saw some familiar faces on the platform, these people wer also on many of the TSP-PFT railtours of which I patronised many as well. TSP did their own farewell tour later that year but that one did not leave Belgium. The class SNCB 18 and SNCF CC40100 were in their last months of service then, I always liked them for their unusual looks. The main routes for them have been Paris-Brussels-Aachen and later Oostende-Aachen from when the Thalys HST was in service. Opening of the high speed line from Liège to Aachen led to their final demise.

Many thanks Tom again for your superior knowledge...I was also fortunate to travel behind the class from Oostende to Aachen and V.V, as my first ventures into Germany were on that route. Good evening, very nice video, thank you! The unexpected participation of the HLE 1805 (on which I had the chance to ride, and which is preserved by the Belgian association PFT / TSP) is an event! Longwy station has, unfortunately, already lost a lot of freight traffic.... Happy end of the year, and see you soon!
