Well, Kerr already got him a couple weeks ago at the Pre Classic in Oregon. Totally possible he was training through, but he did shoot his mouth off to hype that event and then came up short. It would be nice to see a full on guts on the track, blitz of a race in Paris rather than the tactical game of footsie followed by a sprint performance that we usually see.

It is interesting to observe how pretty much everybody except Ingebrigtsen shot forward but then the pace started dropping very quickly within the first 400m. It feels like Ingebrigtsen just decided to ignore the pack and run his own race at his own pace and if everybody else wants to run too fast at the beginning, just don't go in the way.

@@vzwson4995 I don't pay much attention to how much Kerr or anyone else races. There is no standard that track athletes have to run a required number of races beyond the necessary qualifying races. Several other top athletes do not race much either. Are you going to get worked up about them too??

You obviously know nothing about Championship running. No pacemakers and needing to race often a Heat, Semi and then the Final. Most Championship middle/long distance races are SLOW (by race times) as they tend to be just "sit and kick" type races.

Kerr has lost to Jakob almoast every time they have raced, what are you talking about? Difference is that when kerr isn't winning he is getting 5th or worse most often

@@MrErico12345678 Agree. Some of Jakob´s wins over Kerr: U20 1500m final 2016 (Jakob at age 15; Kerr age 18). WC 1500m final Doha 2019 (Jakob 4th; Kerr 6th). OG Tokyo 2021 (Jakob gold, Kerr bronze). WC 1500m final Eugene 2022 (Jakob silver, Kerr ?? far behind). DL Oslo and Lausanne 2023 (Jakob first, Kerr 10th and third). And last a funny one: U20 X country 2016 (Jakob gold, Kerr a respektable 14h only 32 sec behind) kzbin.info/www/bejne/l3SqlmOaasudrtk That was long before Kerr started to focus more on endurance training.

These guys are about as fast as a dead turtle with no legs. The Americans will sweep the Medals Podium unless the Europeans find another gear. This isn't going to cut it. The top 4 Americans all ran faster than Jacobs winning time.

Invincible in the 1500m...?? Let's stay sensible...Jakob has won just one global title in the event until now and is the only top runner who runs in every European champs. Great runner but let's keep it real until he's won a few more globals like a few other runners before him.

Excellent video. Everything was well done with close-ups and distance clips. Only disappointment was British accent of announcers. Makes me want to up-chuck. Get some USA announcers next time. The British accent takes away from the Olympic events, as well. The accent in Downton Abby and Polldark {sp} as well as other British excellent series/programs is much easier to take and not so unpleasing to the ear. You may want to get some of those actors to do the announding for the events in the future. (Please don't lecture me on the instant accent being proper. I get it.)

I disagree. I'm a Kenyan and in my opinion, British commentators are the best, hands down. American commentators look upon with disdain non-American athletes especially those not of ethnically European stock. Most times, they don't even know the names of those other athletes, and are shamelessly, embarrassingly and breathlessly biased. British commentators on the other hand even take the time to really know non-British athletes backgrounds including intimate things about them and how they became who they are. In other words, true professionals. American commentators are more like political cheerleaders for their own athletes, which makes one want to switch channels. On a scale of 1 - 10, the Americans are 3 - 4, the British 9 - 10.
