A bit tough to rank Latvia. 1. Aijā (2023) It was super robbed! Very underrated song. 11th place in the semifinal.. so close but yet so far. 2. Love Injected (2015) I really hope she will return to Eurovision in the future. This song is very underrated and she have a great voice. 3. Hollow (2024) I was afraid that it was a non-qualifier, but it was such a relief that he reached the final because i like the song and his vocals. 4. Dziesma Par Laimi (2004) Latvia's only Eurovision song fully in Latvian so far.. I like it and it's underrated in my opinion. 5. Heartbeat (2016) A good song with good vocals.. sounded modern for the time. Underrated song as well. 6. Probka (2009) I know the majority hate this song, but i really like it. It's very original and something you don't expect to be in Eurovision. It's chaotic and all over the place, but i think it's suppose to be that way. A bit of a shame that the singer decided to sing the song in Russian just because the contest was held in Russia, instead of performing it in Latvian like he did in the national final, because i think the Latvian version is better. 7. Angel In Disguise (2011) It is simple, but i like the vibe.. a chill song with good vocals.. i don't mind the rapping part either, even though i'm not a big fan of rap. Deserved better than 17th place in the semifinal. 8. Funny Girl (2018) Another song that deserved better and should have reached the final in my opinion. 9. Still Breathing (2020) First time i heard it i was like WTF?! But the song grew on me after a while and now i like the song.. it's a bit campy as well 😊 10. My Star (2000) I like it, but i think it's a bit overrated.. maybe didn't deserve the 3rd place. Wolves of the Sea was a Melodifestivalen reject. The song was first in Swedish and had different lyrics and a Swedish group was set to perform it.. but it never happened. Latvia accepted the song and later the Swedish songwriters changed the lyrics into English and made it into a pirate-themed song. I remember the song was very popular here in Sweden during the time.. especially among the children.

​@@esc_victor08 You're welcome! No, Alestorm are Scottish. But i know they did a cover of the song 😊 Alestorm is such a fun band 😁. According to the swedish Wikipedia page it was a group called Drängarna, that was supposed to compete.. the name means like the farmhands in English.. Their music kind of sounds like a mix of pop, rock, country and swedish folk music. They are pretty well known here. I believe they competed in Melodifestivalen 2020, but if i can remember it didn't go well for them back then.

@@esc_victor08 Yes I love it . But with most of songs that night sounded odd to me . Like Belgium . The video is great . But everything sounds so empty on night. I don't understand all music technology stuff haha. Something wasn't right

Many people feel that way... I've seen that opinion a lot and we're used to seeing Latvia sending whatever just like Georgia. I'm always hoping we're in the semi with those 2 as they rarely qualify so more chances for Croatia haha

Hmmmmm... 2011 and 2012 being in the top 5 made me chuckle. It's Latvia, I rarely take them seriously but I guess they started improving these past two years
