If you are wondering why she stole that woman's purse... there's a yearly meme-contest similar to Fantasy Football where you create a team of Sanremo contestants and earn points based on things they do on stage. Elodie earned 20 points by stealing that purse lol. It's also a running gag because a couple of years ago another contestant did the same out of nowhere and for no apparent reason. The lady who got her purse stolen by Elodie is a journalist and RAI television host though so I am sure she got it back eventually :)

Elodie is so talented and I think this performance was amazing. She has such a strong personality and together with Madame was my favourite, unfortunately while many Italians love Elodie for her talent and her beauty and elegance and also because she's a true person never denying or apologetic about her humble background, a part of the more conservative Italy cannot forgive Elodie to be a free woman who doesn't shy to show her body. Personally I find Elodie always very elegant and never vulgar with her looks which is not determined by how much skin she shows but in my country there's still a lot to do for women's indipendency and prejudice based on image is still very much a thing. This unfortunately is the shame of televote which is affected by judgemental people especially because the percentage of voters is higher in the older age range.

I totally agree with you. We are so lucky to have Elodie in Italy. She is a virtous example of a free, independent, and unapologetic woman who is not afraid of showing her attitude and doesn’t need to ask for permission. We need more and more women like Elodie in Italy.

Elodie is way more than sexy, way more than erotic, way more than sensual, she's off the charts! I'll also add that she has an incredible voice. "the theft of the purse" is linked to a side game called "fantasanremo" which involves all the singers for the entire duration of the festival. There is a regulation with bonuses and maluses and it all depends on what they do... in short, something fun and extra compared to the race🤣😂

Lots of strange things you Will see on Sanremo are due to the parallel competition both italians and the artists are engaged into and It Is the FantaSanremo. If you played to FantaEurovision last year... Yes, the creators of FantaEurovision are the same of FantaSanremo with the difference that the artists themselves compete to gain points doing or saying silly things on stage. Last year Emma Marrone won and She was a real Queen, She even tried to be arrested by police to Win extra 50 points. This year Mengoni wins (he gained lots of points for standing ovations, being the winner of every nights, critics and Press prizes) but Rosa Chemical has been the most Active and silly One. Next year we want you to play FantaSanremo and FantaEurovision with us! You Will understand the performances of italian artists even Better.
