Every movie with this girl even an interview takes me out, and when it's over, my room looks weird like I just got back from somewhere. What a positive vibe she has.

It is essential to our happiness to listen to what we want and what can make us happy, even if it is hard, illogical, and uncomfortable. At the age of 54, my wife passed away after a very long illness. I was working in a comfortable state government job only years from retirement. Yet, here was my chance to become a nurse, something I have always wanted to do but didn't or could not. I quit my job, cashed out my pension money and got accepted into nursing school. Fast forward ahead, I got awarded Nurse of the Unit, got my bachelors with a 3.9 GPA, and now I am in Graduate school studying to be a Nurse Practitioner. Although I am in school, I am still a full-time floor nurse at one of the best hospitals in the world, the Mayo Clinic.

Eva along with Noraly aka Itchy Boots both have amazing travel adventure channels one in a Defender 110 the other on an assortment of motorcycles both basically most of the time solo travellers showing others just how amazing our world actually is and how the majority of people worldwide are really decent and gracious hosts for those of us who wish to explore our wonderful world.

Great interview. Nice to hear about Eva’s grandfather’s travel bug and her early inspiration. Also about being present…in the moment…and not wanting to ever ‘find yourself,’ in order to continue learning, growing and becoming. Cheers from the Netherlands.

Watching Eva for a few months now, and listening to her thoughts on Self, and the way in which she looks out at the world is incredibly inspiring as I plan the scariest, and most challenging adventure I've ever considered. A 1545km bikepacking ride through Canada's British Columbia Mountains from Alberta to Vancouver to raise funds for Childrens Cancer Research.

I follow her on youtube and instagram for some time now. She really is an inspiration and a push for others, not just to travel but to change their life for the better and to do what they want in life. Didn't know her editor for videos is from Slovenia. I'm from Slovenia, so that is awesome. Wish her all the best and safe travels, may she never find herself. 😃

I had so sought what you are seeking and can’t define God. I prayed and sought (not religion) for God to reveal himself and Wow! It was that intangible thing I was seeking. And sure enough the Holy Spirit (God) revealed himself. Seek and he shall find. I am not speaking of the traditions of men but the following of christ. I went new age, all religions and so forth and was lost. May you find him and he reveal his spirit. Christ came to show us how to know the father (personal relationship). I am not here to preach but just sharing. I ran from religion. I so thought with the flesh and it failed me. The Holy Spirit is my teacher. An amazing journey which never ends.

Oh, I’m very aware of living in the moment and making decisions to make yourself happy. I was diagnosed with breast cancer last summer (2022) and wasn’t informed of the type of cancer or severity for two weeks. The worse thoughts crossed my mind and I seriously reassess what was important in my life. Things that I thought was important quickly fell to the way-side and I seriously learned to live in the moment in a quick fashion. There is nothing like living in the moment because, your life as you know it, is quickly in question. I had a true Reckoning with, Living in The Moment. The place that I went to regarding, “Living in The Moment” was an amazing and scary place to be. It changed my life as I know it. I cannot unthinking thoughts that I had, nor do I want to, because it changed my life!

Really enjoyable interview! Finding out details of Eva’s travel “ process” was really interesting. Agree with others about the thoughtfulness of the questions and the attentiveness of the interviewer. As an Eva subscriber, I’m happy this popped up in my feed. 😊 Also I was thinking today about something rather profound you said Scott to the effect that we're not our past or our future, we are only ourselves in this very moment. I've heard variations of basically be here/now / be in the present for years, but this was different and kind of nailed it for me. Thank you.

Wow! This interview is so enlightening! Up until now, Eva has seemed so terribly enigmatic! I've watched a great many of her videos and have checked out her Instagram account now and then as well. I've often wondered what makes her tick. This interview helps to explain much of what has puzzled me about her. A DW Travel-based interview with her also helped as well. That does not mean that there aren't other things that still puzzle me about her. For example, it puzzles me that she is now (Jan 2024) so "nuts" about ultramarathons, especially since she endured great self-abuse in the form of physical bruises to finish the last one she entered. (But if that puzzles me, maybe I should also be puzzled why so many other ultramarathon runners are so interested in the sport as well.) It also puzzles me why all her helpers she mentioned for her KZbin videos are women. That suggests that she is a dyed-in-the-wool feminist and that she feels like she is at a disadvantage in a heterogeneous world that includes men. That and her interest in ultramarathons suggest questions about her attitudes about competition, e.g., male vs. female and otherwise, and what deep down in her psyche or her childhood experiences could be driving those perspectives.

I like Eva. I believe that with her language skills, she could write good books about what she chooses. I would like to read. I am not so adventurous, but I do have 54 years of experience. I have volunteered and worked for pay for thirty years. Then I wrote books. I am writing my third book. It’s a ghost story. I believe it’s hysterical. Maybe because people don’t believe in ghosts unless they are little children.

What would inspire this woman if she didn't have her cameras to live thru? I very much doubt Eva Zu- European Woman would do any of this without the you tube money aspect tied to her every move. Why does she feel compelled to sell the idea of traveling the world? What is so great about having plastic conversation interactions with the ppl she meets along the way/ A single woman traveling the world is a parent's nightmare. Please, Eva, spare us the "Better than thou" preaching
