I remember when I was a young lion, I used to despise Holyfield because of my admiration for Tyson, but as I’ve gotten older, I’ve learned to honor and respect the unmatched courage and might of this man. As the great Roy Jones not too long ago once said and I’m paraphrasing, “Evander can beat ANYBODY if they don’t take him serious” and that is a fact. He is the one fighter that u MUST fight at 100% or he will beat u no matter who u think u are or how good u believe u are. Fighters nowadays, no matter there discipline, do not have the heart of fighters like Holyfield. Too scared, too brittle, and too flashy.

Peak tyson vs holyfield, i think holyfield still may have had his number. Holyfield could fight mid range and inside like a motherfucker, possessed good hand speed, a chin made of iron, and accuracy and crispness like a god, along with a great jab. Post prison or not holy is a nightmare for tyson. The same goes for ali, ali would have struggled against holyfields greater power and mid range crispness. Holyfield is vastly underrated, and when at his best he really only struggled against bigs guys because while he could fight well on the inside, his lack of head movement made it hard for him to get in range. A true top 10 heavy.
