I mildly disagree and agree at the same time. Her voice is beautiful and unique. A very very strong singer. Does she have the best voice of all? No. Can she compete with the best? Maybe no, maybe yes but that is not what its about. Miss Morisette from the Phillipines and a guy I have to google and edit into the post are probably better one on one.

Amy is one of the few singers who can actually sing with an orchestra and have her voice get lost in the music. Like the best opera singers, her voice is an integral part of the score and if missing; it would feel incomplete. Adding Lindsy and her style of playing is an instrumental duet with Amy's voice. I expect nothing less from Amy when it comes to writing and scoring music. She is a perfectionist and as such; weaves in emotion into her music like none other.

Techinically Hi-Lo was written 10yrs ago, but Amy never found a home for it till Synthesis, then during that 10yrs Lindsey Stirling started to make a name for herself. So honestly I'm grateful that Amy never found a home for it until now.

"Haunting" doesn't mean she's a ghost... =^_^= People usually use "haunting or hauntingly beautiful" to describe something that has a sad or melancholy quality to it, but yet is beautiful at the same time... it often stays with you and lingers for awhile... Abby, you are correct about headphones bringing this to life. But it's because it was mixed on headphones, which sound different than speakers. I have a pro-quality speaker system in my house and her vocal here is somewhat buried in the mix. (I said somewhat!) Headphones change that. I lament that the modern mixing standard has gone away from speakers.

To be honest, this song (among all of their songs) are even BETTER live. The whole concert audience was crying at one point, because her voice is so powerful, clear, and beautiful. Even with a full-scale orchestra and the band playing their instruments, Amy's pipes are impossible to drown out!

Although it was written by Amy and Will long before the Synthesis tour, this song wasn’t included on an Ev album before the Synthesis tour. Lindsey’s contribution to it just made it phenomenal! I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to see them perform together on the Synthesis tour, but I still want to see Ev rock out live someday! Screw this pandemic!

The editing on this video is just amazing. It adds so much to not only the artists, but the song itself. This and Imperfection are, in my opinion, the best music videos of 2018. Evanescence and Lindsey Stirling are both artists that mean so much to me, glad to see them touring together. It's amazing that they're so different from all the popular music nowadays and still able to receive love and recognition. A lot of people have been hating on Synthesis, but I am definitely a fan. I know it's unlikely, with that tour coming up, but I'm hoping maybe there could be another MV for one of the other synthesized songs (Imaginary or Never Go Back?). Can't wait for July!!

And considering the last one made half a billion dollars, I find it hard to believe they'd cancel the series. Not before a flop or two. A wikipedia search says the movie's production has been delayed due to a change in directors. Which, while not a good sign, has happened with many movies.

FortySix& TooSober Their first works weren't emo. They were gothic. There's a difference between the. Emo is Black Veil Brides, Bullet For My Valentine, My Chemical Romance, etc, while gothic is Lacuna Coil, Type O Negative, Moonspell, etc. Evanescence were closer to the second ones than to the first with their first music (and actually all except this, which is on the symphonic rock side)
