Anna Cecília I’ve listened to evanescence since 4th grade and I’m 17 now. All of these rap songs Megan the stallion writes about sex, and all of these other innapropriate and disturbing songs artist make today, like what’s the point in those lyrics? I’m so confused how society is making these songs that have absolutely NO concept and need to listen to. Evanescence is the only rock band I listen to. When I try to listen to other bands, I just always think if evanescence because I don’t want tot get addicted to another band because I LOVE evanescence so much! I might intrigue my consent with Halestorm and Within temptation because it’s usually always the underrated bands that have the BEST lyrics and the BEST and POWERFUL music to it! Amy lee is the reason why I am still alive. Attempted suicide 4 times but I don’t even know HOW evanescence has saved my life. Just me having that mind set of sayimg “I have got to share this message with Amy Lee one day”.. and listening to the meaning of her lyrics (even tho it’s very metaphoric and it took me a few years to understand the meaning of fallen and the open door and self titled... basically all the albums including new one)

How does not wearing makeup change anything she has to say? She would be just as authentic with a face full of makeup. Her choice, her style, her words/music. Her appearance and what she chooses to do with her own body has absolutely nothing to do with it.
@allangochin37604 жыл бұрын
@@Nika-cl2gg I feel it just shows intentionally to make this rawer. Amy usually always has makeup on and this aesthetic of this video is more raw and dark but is meant to be a light of hope. Kinda like a war feeling setting. Plus Amy lately in the videos hasn't been wearing makeup lately, which obviously she doesn't need to, she's absolutely gorgeous without any. Makeup in culture and society has become something that can be taken to gain power and control and represent independence, such as back in the day's women wore red lipstick During World War II, red lips had their bold second act of defiance. Adolf Hitler "famously hated red lipstick," In Allied countries, wearing it became a sign of patriotism and a statement against fascism. Also in other countries. Really interesting to read about! like if you notice a lot of women in the video are not wearing makeup. Remember besides this video being about voting and using your voice to make a difference in your country, the band has several female artists featured in it, since she said it was also the power of Women! :) I feel these videos as little easter eggs if you really look carefully. Like if you notice in beginning Amy raised her arm in the air with the firecracker ( i think that's what it is) and it almost looked like she was holding up in the posture of lady liberty. For the record, I've been deeply analyzing this video, and a lot of it is coming from what I've learned in school and from research myself and little things catch you eye, so this could possibly not be exactly what she intended to do, or could be! :) But it's pretty cool to think about and wonder how much thought went behind making this behind the scenes and what's going through their head when they planned the video.

But when people are gonna follow their duties ? It’s all about rights but duties ? No one even know those exists. To be a citizen is to follow ur duties too. I don’t see any of those people doing it , since they are protesting outside without masks. I like the instrumental of the song tho. And the lyrics are good in another context.
@Nika-cl2gg4 жыл бұрын
@@allangochin3760 Sorry for the late reply. I really like your take on the music video. And the facts about makeup in WWII are very interesting! And I understand what kind of vibe Amy was trying to achieve by not wearing any. I realize that makeup is an artistic device. I just didn't like the attitude of the original comment saying that by wearing makeup you somehow lose authenticity or lie to your audience. I think that is ridiculous. We needn't shame women for their choices concerning their body and face.
