I agree. Though it also fits an antihero, or a character who can be seen as hero or villain, depending on who is depicted as the hero of the story he´s in. Funfact: The last category fits basicaly every main character in a story I´m writing on DeviantArt. Depending on who is in the role of the protagonist, each of them are either the protagonist, the antagonist or a mysterious side-character with unknown motives and abbilities who often seems to just be playing around with everyone (ok, that´s always the same guy, and it gets even more obvious when he´s actually in the spotlight for longer than half a page, but still).

Is it odd how I listen to this song partially to welcome the painful memories if pain, fear, and sadness is all I've ever really felt? No matter where I go, no house I move to is truly "home" for me. Only about 4 or 5 people are truly "family". I hardly ever feel true "happiness" anymore. I stay in a room that will never really be "mine". I could list things of this sort for hours. But, no matter how much that saddens me, I find slight comfort in those thoughts.

The ending chorus, "Servatis a periculum, servatis a maleficum" is Latin for "Save yourselves from danger, save yourselves from evil" according to Amy's translations.

This make me think of Darksiders 2 kinda. I suggest either playing the game or watching a playthrough, cause spoilers. 1. The one saying not turn away and hide could be Lilith trying to convince Death to resurrect the Nephilim. 2. The whispered lyrics could be Death telling himself to fight her off while dealing with the souls of his race literally screaming at him to save them and repent for what he did to them. 3. The lyrics aside from those could be Death exploring his own mind seeking refuge from the chaos he's experiencing. Unfortunately in there lie his memories and thus a truth that reminds him constantly that the souls are still very much there. 4.The chants at the end could be Death thinking them to himself. I doubt he's speak them aloud, as he's not a man of faith according to his Wiki. Not that he doesn't believe, he just acknowledges the Creator(game universe's version of God) exists and nothing more.
