I've been looking in the mirror for so long, That I've come to believe my soul's on the other side. All the little pieces falling, shatter. Shards of me, Too sharp to put back together. Too small to matter, But big enough to cut me into so many little pieces. If I try to touch her, And I bleed, I bleed, And I breathe, I breathe no more. Take a breath and I try to draw from my spirits well. Yet again you refuse to drink like a stubborn child. Lie to me, Convince me that I've been sick forever. And all of this, Will make sense when I get better. but I know the difference, Between myself and my reflection. I just can't help but to wonder, Which of us do you love. So I bleed, I bleed, And I breathe, I breathe no Bleed, I bleed, And I breathe, I breathe, I breathe I breathe no more.

Sadly too relatable. I hope you’re able to find peace and grow out of the web of that kind of childhood and into the strong and resilient person I’m sure that made you into who is your own person - worthy and enough just for being who YOU truly are. It hurts like hell and progress ebbs and flows but stick it out - just barely on the other side myself but any personal gains are worth it! Therapy helps. Distance and boundaries help. It's a lot to bear; Trauma/Abuse - Neglect/Abandonment - Grief/Loss! I still love this music/Band but, I can breath through the pain now, since I've had EMDR Thearopy.! I've learnt to Know/Love me, & life around me, I feel alive/peaceful now x

So much hard work has paid off from 1999, Amy. You and the people who came and went truly made Evanescence what it is known for, beautiful. Keep up the good work, love
