This map is like zns from bo3 I think, where because of the quality of maps prior people are giving it tons of shit, and the fact the map is being compared to origins, it's pretty hated right now. I will admit it's definitely not a good map, maybe a 7/10 at best but I think in time people will definitely come around to it

I think it's just a fun side map to go with citadelle tbh, narrative shortcomings aside I'm having fun with it. And I also feel opinions will shift positively or negatively depending on how much depth the remaining maps will have, to help round out the selection of experiences we end up with.

It's fine. Gameplay wise it's fun simply designed Zombies map that's ultimately just a sandbox for players to run around and do the same shit on like any other map, so all the easter eggs and other little embellishments are just there to keep you engaged while you, you know, do the same shit over and over again round by round lol. The map doesn't push the story forward in any super deep meaningful way and the final boss fight is annoying as hell but other than that it's, well, fine. Of course the launch day bugs didn't help but Treyarch has been good about addressing the critical stuff with urgency

12:16 i can confirm that the fact that you fall and die after you interact with the portal, when you shoot the symbols, during the step for the ice stuff upgrade, it’s not a bug: it happens if u don’t shot the correct symbols. When u shoot the correct ones, you can see them glowing on the ground before you enter the portal

When I downloaded the new sniper elite game and realized how much they held back and ALREADY have dlc for it said to me, that is how all these companies are now. CDM Get 4 unique sword wonder weapons. Get 4 unique tacticals in the form of the incantations. Find symbols and pages, use that to find out which traps to get kills with. Give swords to the Knights in a specific order. Do 4 elemental trials and then you go into the boss fight. The Tomb Get the returning wonder weapon. Do 4 trials Boss fight Wtf happened here? How did we go from 4 new elemental wonder weapons to a returning wonder weapon and the more bland easter egg ever? Even Alpha Omega had more effort put into it....

Tomb for example, you can get a free perk by level 4, a ray gun, an aether tool, a pap crystal and golden armour that regenerates (theres more i just cant remember then) and none of them are particularly difficult.

The main problems now are not having a dedicated crew, spawning with a loadout, and the new points system. Thank you for putting out this video. I agree with all points made. Immediately comparing this map to origins was a huge mistake and honestly set the map up to fail from the get go. We will all immediately start comparing the two by default. Bad decisions. It’s orgins for f sakes. I posted a bad review of the map online and got roasted so I’m glad to see the OGs watched this video and feel the same as I do. You’re sitting waiting for the damn lanterns twice.. you sit and count to 10 or 8 twice.. then complete lock down after lock down it’s just lazy.. as of now I could only beat the boss fight with a cheese and idc. And no intro cut scene so awkward same with literally no commentary at the end. This map was either going to revive or kill the game and I believe it killed it. I don’t have high hopes for the rest of the game. Especially if it’s true there are only 2 DLCs left. There’s 6 seasons… what will the rest of the game have? Maybe the map will grow on me but I feel like they just took a huge 💩 on my favorite map of all time.

I actually really loved this map. Its challenging, but weve had super challenging maps in the past. Im still really interested in zombies, its just the games stability stopped me playing. It seems things have gotten better in season 2 regarding packet bursts. I fixed the stuttering issues by modifying the nvidia control panel, but I really loved this map. Not gonna lie, I was slow to like it, but I really found myself enjoying it more with each play. So the bug issues, I can understand the anger but thats the game stability not the map. Really sad you have to change nvidia control panel settings to fix stuttering, but the map overall was really fun.

Good video for sure. I love the tomb so far. I actually really enjoy all of the new maps. But if you really want me to nitpick, the tomb is missing story, voice lines. I kinda feel lonely if I play it. But then maybe that just adds to the atmosphere I guess. Glass a half full. Thanks for the video.

4:50, I feel like this could’ve been remedied by simply making it so the staff cant appear in the box until after you’ve built the staff in the intended way. Or simply making it so multiple people can pick up the built one and just negate the box entirely

If anyone is still getting crashes on tomb after turning off “gore”, try changing display mode. I changed mine from “fullscreen exclusive” to “fullscreen borderless” and haven’t had an issue yet

11:50 you actually don't have to kill for this step, killing just makes the ball move faster witch requires all members to be more alert bc if you get too far, you fail. You just need to follow it.

If they had made the ice staff weak, it would be another huge fumble. The ice staff is the best staff in origins, so if they brought it back weaker, it would be another cut sliver. Remember, death by a thousand cuts

I was a huge destiny 2 player and I hope they use the bungie playbook more with zombies. They should add difficulty modifiers and more wipe mechanics during boss fights etc. destiny players know. It would be mad fun. First time I was like “dps check from destiny? Yup” “ aint no way there’s a wipe mechanic 😂”

I'm definitely with the commenter at 3:33. Split screen has been something that me and my girlfriend have enjoyed on this game since Modern Warfare 3 and when Black Ops 6 launched it was really laggy and crappy on split screen but we figured that they would work on it and get it fixed. Now with season 2s release we are unable to play split screen at all. The while reason i got the game was so me and my partner could shoot some sh** together and now we can't.

May be a hot take but honestly the issue that zombies has with using ice staff is you expect a massive map and detailed ee that forces the exploration of a big map and they gave us the equivalent of spawn with gen 2 and 3 with a more basic version of the staff room if you wanna compare to origins, Tldr: too small which a bigger map is expected if we have a map so heavily based on origins and ee doesn't fit with what origins ee felt like

When origins launced it had 4 original wonderweapons, an original boss enemy and an original special round enemy. It had map exclusive weapons( do you remember when that was a thing?). It came out with many original features and cool set pieces like the tree robots, the tank, the crazy place and the teleporters. It was littered with side content like the metal fist, and of course the staffs. It had new buildables like tha maxis drone and the g strike. Innovations like challenges and the wonderfizz. It had an intro cutscene. And even small things like a uniqe pack a punch and box design. Now over 12 years later wtih the lauch of The Tomb we have absoluteley none of this:)

If they designed the EE well, they would have indicated bullet weapons were required during the EE steps before the boss fight. At least Bungie use the HUD and environment to indicate what is coming or required during the boss fights.

I feel like everyone forgot that treyarch said this map was made to be a smaller map with a more simple EE like liberty falls. They both bring back an old WW, have fairly easy "defend thing" steps for most parts of the ee, and the boss fight is jsut surviving waves of zombies but tomb has a dps check

The “bug” of missing the rock when going through the portal, isn’t a bug at all. 😂 it’s from inputting the code wrong. People who don’t enjoy this map, just choose not to. I figured out this egg my first play through with zero issues.

I think what did it for me was the fight being against a mirror they made it clear they wanted them like world of Warcraft dungeons but then immediately stepped back from that idea its the fact they can't seem to pick a lane with what they are doing over there they fold to the complaints to easily and with that the product is left to suffer

Wanna fix zombies? Bring double tap back, Remove score streaks, Remove armor plates, Add unique shields back, stop making 3 different special enemies spawn on every map, bring back hellhounds not fucking bugs, and Remove salvage from the game period. Re roll ammo mods at packapunch.
