*Alright, let me theorise this:* The A-Day you guys see is 5 years before Spider-Man PS4 took place. Taskmaster fought with the Avengers. In Spider-Man PS4, Taskmaster said he got toe to toe with the Avengers, meaning he fought them 5 years ago. In the beginning of Spider-Man PS4, you see call TS for Re Job offer, meaning he’s asking Spidey to join Avengers again since the team was disbanded. Spider-Man said the Avengers are on the West Coast, as you see in the trailer. Then at 2:45, you see the ship going down towards NY which looks similar to Spidey’s NY, meaning this event is taking place maybe after the DLC since we didn’t see such thing in the game or during the three-month gap in the ending of Spider-Man PS4. Moreover, Square said that PS4 players get exclusive stuff, meaning Spider-Man may be connecting to this game.

This might be a Spider-Man PS4 connected story I mean San Francisco is located I mean San Francisco is located in the West Coast and that is technically a West Coast Avengers reference and Taskmaster attacked the Avengers so we could question taskmasters true mission in Manhattan back in Spider-Man PS4 and see if this lines up with anything in the story if it's somehow does then it is connected to Spider-Man PS4 universe it could be possible that Taskmaster is the main key to connecting the stories of Spider-Man PS4 and the Avengers project

Unpopular opinion, but Spider-Man shouldn't join the Avengers. Let him have his own games. Best Spider-Man stories are when he is alone (Sam Raimi trilogy, Spider-Man PS4). We have him in the MCU so no need to create a shared gaming universe. Spider-Man PS4 sequel should focus on the black suit, Harry and Norman, MJ, Miles and present how Peter gets consumed by it. Let Avengers have their own game and let Spider-Man have his game.
