Dude. I have recently gotten into Evangelion and had been really confused by the story. I finally watched the rebuilds enough to understand most of what is going on but this video you did really helped fill in some critical blanks for me. Thank you! SPOILERS FOR 3.0+1.0 The last Rebuild movie has debunked the loop theory: the Rebuild lore is too different to that of the original series, there's just no way it's the result of a "reset" after an Impact, as the theory stated. The Impact themselves work differently in the Rebuild, and all the things in the White Moon we saw in the last movie were never mentioned in nge. The fact that Shikinami is a clone also shows that the Rebuild characters are not the same people from the original story. People keep on distorting what Kaworu says at the end of Shin Eva: he never says that the world of Evangelion is in a loop, he says that he himself is stuck in a personal cycle of death and rebirth; he keeps on dieing and resurrecting on the Moon in the Rebuild timeline, and at one point he meets Shinji as a child, but he doesn't remember it because his childhood memories were manipulated, as Fuyutsuki tells him in the third movie. As Rei says in her final dialogue of the movie, time cannot be rewinded, it can only move forward. There is no loop.

I have a question, the first ancestral race and their desire to spread their seed is mentioned in every Eva lore video but the FAR are never explicitly mentioned in the show or any of the movies so what is the cannon media from which the lore is found??

With the release of 3.0+1.0, there's more to unpack with the clones. Spoilers below: Now we know why Sohryu was changed to Shikinami. The -nami series, Ayanami, Shikinami and.. Makinami? Is Mari a clone too?

interesting, they did name clone Asuka after another Japanese destroyer name with -nami. For Mari, There are hints in Movie 3.0 suggesting Mari's been young since 1998 but who knows... she might be a clone too ha, maybe Anno will tell us one day.

@@KAIJUCORP Wasn't there a theory that Mari was the inventor of LCL and that was just part of the property of the LCL that stopped aging? Its interesting how many hints were dropped in the whole Rebuild series that Mari is actually older than she appears. Even in the first scene with the Provisional 05 when Kaji said Adults were using children to achieve their goals and Mari said she feels bad for using the "adults" to get what she wants.

Actually it was gendo who approached yui because of her family ties to seele, but ended up fallen for her for real. And you missed the part where Lilith soul ends up inside yui’s body clone and formed the existence of rei in tv series cycle.
