Separate Ways is the closest that Journey ever got to what could be considered 'metal' for the band even in the late 70's / early 80's. Journey was / is NOT a metal band by any stretch of the imagination. This cover just kicks the dust off the old rocker and throws it into overdrive and makes a METAL ANTHEM of an AOR classic. What a great way to pay respect to one of the most iconic rock songs ever written!!! Great stuff guys!

I’m a mega huge fan of Steve Perry and Journey for over 40 years. I have to tip my hat and say...this is very well-done. She sings with the same passion and intensity as Steve Perry did and it gives her great credibility being able to sing this amazing song. Thank you from a life-long Journey fan.

As a child of the 70’s and 80’ I listened to Journey when they were at the top of their game. I’ve never heard a cover of a journey song that’s as good as the original. I like Daughtry’s music a lot, but his version of this song is an over-produced train wreck. What I like about Eva’s rendition is that the players took ownership and embellished in respectful ways to make it fresh, and the way they remade the interlude at the end by bringing it down and layering the vocals was brilliant. As for her vocals, she has a great tone for rock music, and she’s obviously an experienced veteran, as shown by her dynamic choices. It’s not the original ~ and I loved it ~ especially the harmony part on the last note!
