[im not including any of the tie pilots or other ground combat personnel] Because Star Wars is scared to fully automate there ships ) so my guess of 111 miles of distance covered in one hour is still pretty dam fast but still pretty reasonable for modern day super sports cars and some motorcycles

There is a render of a titan, Avatar if i remember correctly, placed hovering over Manhattan and shadowing most of it. Seeing that and realizing that _Keepstar_ space stations are around 10 times bigger than a titan ... that gives some scale.

When you see them in action, firing missiles or activating tractor beams etc, you can see where those devices are mounted on the ship. I would also guess that sensor arrays and the like are part of some of the designs.

The community in this game was just so amazing when I first tried it out. One person had passed away in this game and the community put together a farewell video! I thought it was the most awesome thing any game community could do! People helped me right off the bat with most my questions. I was a complete noob but no one really talked down to me, or got ugly with me cause I didn't know much. Instead people helped me and got me going. sadly the learning curve for the quest system is what drove me away but I am considering re joining someday, and hopefully with my loving sweet wife :) as we are a gaming couple and prefer communities that are more mature and helpful. I realize that there are douchebags in all mmos but, EVE's community took me by surprise with the kindness to a couple of noobs (my wife and I). Thanks for that! I hope to rejoin someday soon!:D

I really like it...my thing, which I don't know if anyone can fix...but part of the problem with how I see this and other videos, is that part of the reason people do these is because it's hard to visualize the size differences, and I think how quickly we move about each ship lends to the scaling issue...flying around each ship at the same speed as opposed to an equivalent speed to the size of the ship, would help give the feel of the size. It was closer in this vid than ever before tho, kudos!

1st let me say great video! Love it! Im glad youre doing a second version to show more scale. Unfortunately about the time you get to cruisers we've lost the sense of "true" scale. I kept thinking if he'd just surround the ships with some scaffolding and start zoomed in on say a person and the pull back and do the fly-byes that would he us keep it in proportion. Im my opinion you have to stick with a person for each class size. Only because we can automatically relate to a person, or say a car.

Jm Fowler this have nothing to do with how EVE look like in gameplay. This video suppose to demonstrate the sense of "SCALE". To do so you put a standard object like human beside to compare. By zooming in the ship itself with this resolution it totally backfire.
@harpfully10 жыл бұрын
I think the OP is talking about the artificial near-field blur that the video employs, and he has a point. Since such blur only happens in real life with objects a few meters away at most (barring high-power zoom), it makes the ships appear much smaller -- like models.
