Hi Lasker, I'm ToshioMagic, the FC of the Jackdaw fleet. I was flying the Heretic. As soon as we had you tackled I knew we didn't have the DPS to kill you. So I requested a bomber fleet. They burned from 1DQ in Delve. Our job was simply to hold you and try to get you to waste resources (capacitor, ammo, heat). It's interesting seeing how much you wasted when you didn't have to. But I'm sure you'll improve. I told our tackle to get off of you the entire time but most of them are noob pilots who thought they could just whore on your kill mail. They don't understand the concept of bait tanking or siege mechanics yet. The part where I warped us out and back on top of you was when the bomber FC told me he was two jumps out. I just wanted to keep you aggressed and tackled at that point. Our members made a TON of mistakes as well. I don't know why the other commenters are giving you such a hard time while not critiquing the Goon fleets. Our tackle welped into you. Our bombers burned to 0 instead of pulling range. Our jackdaws failed to broadcast for reps. The only reason we got you at the end was because I deaggressed in my Heretic and held cloak on the other side of the gate waiting for you, and you burned out your cap. Good fight. Hey Man, thanks for stopping by to comment. It was a really fun fight, and I am glad you guys came out and engaged. I don’t in any way mind the various commentators pointing out where I made mistakes, they are right, I made a ton! That said I had a lot of fun, had a chance to learn some stuff, and I hope your guys had fun too. I know this is an old vid, but just curios. You say he 'wasted' cap, ammo, heat..But what should you do in this situation otherwise? Esp when the goal was to get a fight in the first place? I guess if for some reason you were tackled in a dread and didnt want to be then I can see what you mean by wasting cap on combat mods, but is it still considered a waste to use those mods when you're trying to get a gang to fight you for a pvp video?

Electronic or chilled out music that is easier on the ears is much better to listen to while watching a gaming video like this, and with a game like EVE that sort of chill music fits the aesthetic of the game much better than hard rock or heavy metal thrashing into the speakers. It's great to discover cool new music too through KZbin videos. Chillstep, trance, lo-fi hip hop, etc. I can look up the artist after watching the video and find some cool new artists to support and have playing on my computer.

I've saw lot's of dread solo roam, and the best one are oversized mwd, and right after hitting mwd - turn on sige and they'll need to follow you (for ppls don't know how it works - sige increase your mass to the point, where your hot mwd cycle will get you around 600 m/s and web can't slow you down, and the mass of sige dread will drag you into the space) - as we know, when something follow straight - it's easier to kill ;) Best strategy with nag or phoenix, but works on every dread. If done right, it's unstoppable and you will get some kills until gang will drop the target, or bring something more then just frigs, or speed drop to 0 m/s :D Set up your reps for ONE CYCLE - they do not have to be auto run. Good idea is to set 1auto/1manual. Overrepping is killing your cap every time. Do not, ever, hot your cap boosters - UNLESS - you're under heavy nuet pressure ;) - but you know that now xD Anyway GF, was there ;)

ps. there is no such thing as an over sized propmod on a capital sized hull. 100mn ab/500mn mwd on a cruiser is over sized as you need to add PG to the ship to fit it.

Another great fight i'm glad i watched. people mention mistakes, well no one is perfect, and when the adrenaline kicks in even the most seasoned vet will quite often make mistakes. granted they make less mistakes, still make some mistakes though. it's partly what can make fights interesting to watch :)

Exact fit is opsec but I can confirm those destroyers are built to last. Ripping a fleet like that a new one isn't easy, bravo!

Yeah for sure! I also happened across your Naglafar video. That one I really liked also. I never thought about soloing with a dread till I watched your videos. It seems the Nag was much better at the job than the Moros. If I remember the tracking on that specific nag fit was a shy bit worse than the Moros but you were insta popping things in the nag. Dps was applied well. I have a question I figured I mine as well ask here as I've been researching it the past week for non game realted reseaons but related to video production. What software(s) do you use for editing and producing videos? If you don't mind me asking. Thanks again!

I like the nag more, but I think mostly because the awesome falloff on the ACs means that you don't have to do a ton of ammo switching as stuff is at different ranges. I have also had better fights in the Nag, but I think that's just luck. I have been using OBS to record, and DaVinci Resolve for editing (both free, both easy to use). Very glad you enjoyed the videos and I am always happy to answer questions.

So I've only recently come over your channel.l I've been gone for almost a year. Maybe more. Maybe a year and a half. But I've kept my chars training and log in once a week or month to manually train skills cause I prefer it to setting a year's worth and leaving it. I've been coming back this past few weeks tho. Mostly just login in more but I'ma get there, MY POINT tho, lol, as, I digress. Anyway, So I watch your Phoenix video. 30 Subs vs 30 Caps and fell in love. I've always hated missiles, mostly due to "hate form ignorance", as even though I've played on and off, over a decade, I've never trained into missile till now. So the nag was my favorite based on your fight, but now, even though the caps got there on you, I was able to see the damage projection. It was immediate and unforgiving. So my QUESTION(S) to you is this. If I wanted to do what you do or get in a dread at all but mostly for solo PVP in what skills apart from the norm would you suggest? Obviously, all to 5 is optimal but I guess my question is what is the bare minimum? I have to think about capital repping, capital turrets or missiles, capita energy skills, and capital skills in spaceship command. 1.) Is level 4 in all of these with T2 siege sufficient enough to do "Selective" solo dread PVP Or do I need: 2.) LVL5 Cap Turrets/Missiles - LVL5 Cap Rep Armor/Shield - Navigation Skills? - Capital Ships 4/5? - Dreads 4/5? - etc,. etc? I don't know your skills points but when I came back I had to start over and create a new main and pump him full of a LOT of money in injectors. Still not ready for where I want him and he already takes my wallet clean. Now you've really got me wanting to train for a dread not just for solo, even tho I am a solo pilot but for fleet also. I've always preferred solo or small gang. Never cared for large fights. Anyway, this is long enough already. Tell me what youe thoughts are. Thanks and sorry fror the novel I have written, lol.

No worries man, I can tell you are pumped :) Most of my dreads I consider "Ready" to go when I have T2 siege and guns and fours in most of the relevant skills. The Phoenix is amazing for sure, although honestly I enjoy all the dreads, they all have something fun about them.

Mostly if you want to fight a HAW Dread with subcaps you have to accept some losses, and the Goons were ISK positive when they brought me down. I would have killed more for sure if I had managed my heat better. Hmmmmm Some advice for next time; 1. One important thingy for dread pilots is to care about hostile transvesal.... (you schould really try to focus on that more =)) 2. Think more about your ammo choise. Null = worse Tranking.... agains fring /desi gang not the best choise 3. Be carefull with your range like 40% of the time your missing because your guns are out of range This not ment bad just some few advice =) keep on flying o/

That's actually on the list, none of my cap alts have missile skills, so I am training JDC, tactical weapon reconfig, etc. on my main. As soon as I can fly one I will be out looking for fights. I am also working on a Marauder series for a bit of variety. I also some day have a dream of maybe doing some of the pirate dreads, all will likely be impossible (I doubt I will be able to get my hands on a Chemosh, but we will see.

All of my Dread videos are speed up, most viewers want a certain amount of action and are willing to watch for a period of time, but not indefinitely. Some of them are speed up 25%, some are speed up more. Honestly if people wanted normal speed videos that would be awesome, would save me a step.

I wish to do something similar with a Naglfar Fleet Issue, one of my corp reached number 1 in kills doing stuff like that. I just hate the stigma that corp/alliance/coalition scolds you for losing expensive ships "like that". Cause the said corpmate did lose his naglfar fleet issue to a bomber gang and their void bombs. Ok, props for taking the ships out to go get a fight like this. But you are costing yourself with so much basic stuff missed for simple PVP. #1 Please, hide your passive modules, you can't do anything with them while your fighting, so why have them cludder your screen. #2 organize your modules better. why the hell is your Tracking Computer and Siege module on your Top row. All you should have up there is your guns, grappler, web and neut off to the side, put your armor reps down in the low slow area and your cap booster alone in the middle. You wont waste as much time fuddling around trying to do stuff when under pressure.
