I am glad you enjoyed it. Someone somewhere in this commentary took it as an endorsement of violence, which it absolutely was not. I am a peaceful man and have led a peaceful life. Despite that the vast majority of my hobbies have been simulated violence. In addition to that I have been studying history a great deal of late, and it's really striking how all or almost all human achievements rest on a capability to do violence (or to put it in different words, an ability to defend yourself, hold the barbarians at bay). I actually think we are entering a time period where things will change, simply because we now have the capacity to destroy ourselves entirely, and so will need to learn to not use violence, or cease to exist. Even after checking fit and seeing how you pick targets I can not believe that Revel could track anything smaller then bs. But, obviously, you did. wp)

In general if you have tracking rigs, strong drop, grapple, web, and pick your targets sensibly you can track without too much trouble. Destroyers and up you are generally good to go, ceptors generally are untrackable, other frigates you can often track if you neut them out. Ships with ABs make it quite a bit worse, also ships that sit out at fairly long range and keep traversal up (so grapple/web cannot do their good work). If you watch some of my other videos you can get a feel for is and is not trackable.

I actually know how it works a bit, Bhaal has almost same tracking as Rev with rigs and booster. A bit higher, 4.22 vs 3.76) But bhaal has 20-25km web and can position itself... And Rev is almost stationary. That's why I'am impressed.

See this is how i (as a noob) imagine how the game should work.. Anything lower than a battleship should not really make a capital ship worried, even in large amounts (not invinsible, but not worried). But often when i play, i see people soloing emergin conduits with frigate sized ships, and my battlecruiser with passive shield tanking cant even take down 1 enemy before i hafto warp to safety.. it just feels like: "why even go for the larger ships then?", "why put in the effort?!" :) this brings me joy.. thanks lasker

Ah shucks this makes me happy to read. I don't much get into the lore or anything, but the mental imagine of a giant dreadnought in space in a brawl with dozens of other ships makes me smile. The game is complex and has lots of mechanics, you can learn to do well in big v small fights, or small v big, or 1v1 or 1vMany.

Theoretically so, more or less, but I think capitals don't drop directly onto the cyno but a few thousand meters out. Also consider that the cyno a.) Has to be deployed by a ship, which can be destroyed, which afaik will end the cyno, and b.) That the cyno transmits it's presence and location to anyone in local. If you mean a warp point, I believe so, but I'm not sure.

Phoenix has the best application, Rev has the worst. It was further compounded in this fight by my having Improved Drop on hand rather than strong, and also rolling the tracking penalty on the Exile.

They halved the damage and the cycle time, 1.5m with max skills now instead of 3m, but half the cycle. 1.5 M is still enough to kill a dread if you have some damage into you, or are not buffer fit, but most groups when they drop titans on normal caps asign DD pairs so they can expect to alpha (almost) all normal caps.

Well, in this video I get Titans dropped on me, so if I have a secret I don't know if it works. If you want to not die to capital escalation, you have a couple of options. 1. Get to know the area you are flying, and who is in range, and chose engagements against roaming subcap gangs that don't have escalation potential in range. 2. Have your own escalation potential in range, so that if you get supers dropped on you, there is a chance for you to kill the supers. 3. Get some kills and leave before the escalation can arrive, something like a drift Nag maybe would be a good option for this, and you probably need to be leaving at the end of the first siege cycle.

Be smart about choosing spots. A lot of the time solo dreads are successful in places with many supers, but they don't get dropped on because the supers are scared. Roam places that are contested, and neither side will commit supers to a small dread kill. Lowsec has more cap blobs, but nullsec has more supers. Up to you to make that choice. Also consider bringing a cyno inhibitor. It's not cheap and will most likely be shot and killed but it can buy you some time.

Capitals taking gates I think is maybe 3+ year old change. The tracking of frigates is a function of having HAW (High Angle Weapons) that are lower damage guns for dreads that track a lot more like battleship guns. That together with tracking rigs, strong drop, stasis grappler, and web lets you do pretty good damage to most subcaps.
