EVELO Atlas E-Bike Review

I added the throttle to the Atlas and I LOVE it. Along with assisting in certain riding situations I use mine to help drain my battery at the end of a ride. Evelo recommends recharging the battery at +/- ~20%. So, if I'm nearing the end of a ride the throttle allows me to reach that 20% level by using it. The throttle is not just for convenience, it's a tool to help lower the battery level for recharging.

Thanks for your review of the Atlas. Since you reviewed the Omega as well, did you find the gearing (min-max) range different (better?) on the Omega?

IIRC the Omega gear range was a bit better than the Atlas, but they were pretty similar

hi and thanks for your great reviews (&subscribed!). i am interested to purchase the EVELO Atlas but debating between the Priority Current and the EVELO Atlas = your top picks of 2023 &2024!. judging by your 2 videos, they seem similar/comparable in price/performance? can you please kindly indicate between the priority current and Atlas, which do you recommend to purchase ? thanks in advance!

They are both good bikes, but I prefer the Atlas. Smoother motor, an optional throttle and a more comfortable riding posture. And front suspension is a nice plus

Thanks! My preference for the Atlas is mainly due to its more aggressive riding position, but agree that both bikes are great.

You got me when you hesitated with saying the bike with range in gearing might be problematic for super steep hills .. I live in Pittsburgh 🤔

Tyler I have the specialized turbo Vado 5.0 that works extremely well. I just had a problem with the enviolo hub, and they are going to replace the entire assembly under warranty. A very important part of buying a bike at a local dealer. The automatic shifting works great and addresses the city stop and start. I have added a burley Koho trailer for traveling and it pulls that easily. I would love if you could do a review on the turbo vado. Thank you Bill Compton

As for availability, I was told by an Evelo employee recently that the Atlas would be restocked when available later in spring 2024. So it's not clear if it will or won't be coming back.

Oh interesting. I heard from them in October that they were discontinuing the Atlas model.
