@MrBobnokious Late spring & a snowy winter reduced the miles I was planning. Started riding in an underground parking area where the pavement was smooth & no rain! This gave me feel for the trike and ease of figuring out the bits & pieces. No need to watch for traffic. I had a friend join me who is very familiar w electric bikes & she was a great help. Eventually took it out on the road but on the quieter streets. Wore a fluorescent vest. Ride it up & down every street in the neighbourhood. Only managed to get myself in trouble once riding a path down to the ocean. When the path became too narrow, I parked the trike to one side & walked the remaining 20 ft. The problem was getting turned around in such a small, uneven place. The trike is too heavy for me to push backwards or to lift & turn. With the help of the throttle I managed to leap it around. It has a small turning circle fortunately. If the trike had reverse this wouldn’t have been a problem. Another thing I learned was that when I am walking the trike across a crosswalk, to be sure to disengage the throttle! I accidentally touched the throttle & the trike kept up on two wheels much to the entertainment of the stopped vehicles. I suppose I should have read the manual first.🤓 It’s easy to ride and I now feel comfortable turning corners. I have ridden on both paved & gravel/dirt roads without any problems. Keeping an eye on the battery % was important at first. Now I have a better idea of the range depending on how many steep hills I take. And I carry a spare battery as well for peace of mind. I don’t let the charge go below 50% and I bring the batteries inside when the temperatures drop. So far so good in maintaining a charge. Found a hard-sided waterproof fabric container w a lid that flips up that fits in the rear basket. With that I can do all my grocery shopping in one trip and it keeps things dry. Checking the tire pressure every second ride as well as cleaning & lubricating the chains should keep her running easily. I haven’t found any loose bits even after rattling down some gravel roads. Get out & enjoy. I ride w friends w two wheelers & I like it when we stop as I don’t have to hold up the bike. The trike gods me up!❤️🤓

I'm 6'7" and around 300lb, am I to big and or fat to ride this?

Hey Michael- we recommend the Compass for riders up to 6'2", weight would not be an issue but you might be too tall to optimally move the pedals with comfort. There's an Official EVELO Owners FB group you could hop into and see if someone local to you has one you can try!

Heard the word throttle, but is there also also actual pedal-torque sensing (best) and not simply cadence sensing? 2WD is fantastic!

No torque sensor. I wish it had one! They should have used the Ultra instead of the BBSHD. I'm putting a BBSHD on my trike. Mine has a suspension fork and a suspension seat post, so it will be far more comfortable.
