As a man of faith, I kind of chuckle at the “highlighting is blasphemy” crowd knowing full well there are people who in my faith highlight things in their copy of our most important book. I don’t highlight but you do you - it’s not going to harm anything unless your intent is to resell your codex. Happy birthday! Re: Boarding Patrols, I really think the Death Guard one is pretty good given that limitation on the kit already. It certainly is better than their combat patrol box. But, most important of all, it gives me small hope that the Thousand Sons boarding patrol box won’t be “oops all tzangors” again.

Meltabombs do indeed create a zone of super heat. They do not explode. They usually have to be applied directly to the surface of the target. So the poles make sense. Movie Marines... So great. Strength 6 toughness 6 and 6 woulda with bolters that had the stats of assault cannons and all the "body doubles" you could bring along. Lascannon was a beam weapon. Chainsword was a super power sword lol.

In Australia at least as far as I know GW themselves, they said that they won’t be increasing the price of the boxed sets only the single boxes ect. Which I thought was actually pretty awesome

Writing in books is never wrong. They are objects to be used, and codexes, battletomes and rulebooks even more so. Adding stuff like notes and post-its to make them more usable is good.

Idea for more lore appropriate Space Marine stats: start with Dreadnought data sheet for each marine. Tweak a few things, but have that be the starting point.

You could fix a lot of the differences between units by using a D10 / D12 / D20 with modifiers. That way you can get a more unique feel for each unit.

I actually won my very first game of kill team, even if it was verry scuffed and it only lasted 2 and a half rounds It was on into the dark terrain, (the subsidence set up from the into the dark book) my friend with my kasicin (that not how you spell it at all) and I used the necrons hirotech circle, minus the technomancer cause I left him at home. Final score, 12 to me, 2 to my friend

We actually something SUPER similar to the melta stuff, I've seen and heard American soldiers using some kind of "metal?" pot, have some liquid metal in there (I'm not sure if it was copper, brass, bronze but something of that coloration, my bad) and it shoots out of the "pot" as a fluid "ball"? and goes through E V E R Y armor. I will look up how it's called and how it works 100%, but that's basically something along the lines of melta weaponry, melting, heat, cutting armor. We also probably have things like Plasmacannon and Lascannons being tested as we speak, yet I doubt it will be carried to battle by a single soldier/marine. It would be like the defensive systems using laser, more likely stationary turrets or mounted on vehicles.

I've heard from a few folks that KO look much better in different colors than the studio scheme. I know that Votann do, so I wouldn't be surprised. That mini is fantastic, even better than the Goff Rocker. And yeah, just a head swap on those cavalry is fine. It's really only the helmets that I don't like.

A codex is a glorified instruction manual. Noting it up with post-its, highlights, notes in the margins, and even printed insterts seems mandatory. As for the roughriders, I am still waiting for the Necromunda version (coming soon?). But honestly the lastest price hikes has me looking more and more at proxies and alternatives.

Painting challenge: take two classically opposed armies and paint them in each other's color schemes. (Ex: orcs and goblins vs empire. Sigmar vs Followers of Chaos. Blood Angels vs Tyranids. Empire vs rebels. Clones vs droids ect. All in each other's color schemes)

It's kinda sick how about 100 subfactions truly DESERVE models, while GW focuses on releasing new primaris HQ's nobody wants. The ONLY good Space Marine thing they released EVER SINCE the introduction of Primaris, was the Black Templar refresh, while that wasn't even NEEDED IF THERE WAS NO PRIMARIS RE-DESIGN IN THE FIRST PLACE. :/ I feel you. Night Lords look so cool and their style of waging war is grimdark perfect. Same could be said about all of the legions of chaos, except for DG and Black Legion. Even Thousand sons deserve more units, we don't even start EC. Or how Harlequins also only have 3-5 kits instead of 3500+ like sm's.
