@@videogadabout Ricky Gervais played the original manager in the British Office series (2001), the American Office came out 4 yrs later which Steve Carell played basically the same character. Kirkland brand is Costco's discount knockoff brands. Basically Colbert called Carell a cheap knockoff.

The British version uses dark humor whereas the American version is sugar coated like many American TV shows. So in a way it was a cheap knockoff. But never the less they are both great TV shows. Complete silence and I understand why. That movie was such a weird mashup of Zemeckis' other movies. I get that he was taking Forrest Gump mixed with Polar Express and Flight with a dash of Mars Needs Moms, but it came off as Inglourious Basterds + Toy Story + Reign Over Me. How do you market that? Who do you market that too? You don't. That's why nobody remembers it, they've never heard of it. The film was interesting but I'm still not sure if it was good weird or just weird.
