@@IfSoGirl88 I mean every T is different, my friend tried breeding his last year and female tried to get the male. He was OK a bit scratched but that female was nasty. My friend still hasn't been able to pair her no matter how much conditioning he does (and yes he is experienced with breeding)

The tarantula Poecilotheria metallica is an arboreal spider, so when buying a terrarium, we should be guided primarily by its height. A terrarium for one individual should have dimensions of 30x30x40 cm. When breeding tarantulas, glass terrariums are the most popular - they are handy, cheap and allow us to observe the spider from all sides. Regardless of the type of terrarium, it should have ventilation, which will allow warm air to escape and cool air to enter.

He's lucky she didn't decide to eat him. Sometimes P. Metallica can be a bit too rough with the insertion and hurt the female, which by her strong reaction appeared to be the case. She might have had some residue on her legs after scratching/rubbing her flap, which is why she was moving her legs like that it looked a lot like when someone tries to rub some crud off their fingers imo.

So pretty! I saw a video where I feel he was knew to spiders. He tried breeding brother and sister. Nothing happened on camera. No tapping nothing. So he set it aside. He came back and the male was dead. I don't think there was any mating.

I have no luck with Metallica's I've had a sling and juvie die on me and don't know why. Maybe third times the charm
