Everytime I watch your videos I get more and more ok with letting go of being in the biggest city for Street Photography. As I get older I will get more into landscapes and being in nature. I think it has a lot of soul too and I want to challenge myself. Thanks for a great video!

Slowing down can always be a bit daunting at first, but there's few moments I've found more fulfilling then being in a wide open space by myself with a camera.

This was cool to see. I just moved to Olympia from Europe. I have been shooting B&W film on vintage cameras for years all over the world and I was not sure what kind of photography I could get here as I am not much of a landscape photographer but I may just have to delve into it now seeing how awesome the landscape is in the PNW. I am thinking I may need to trek to these locations with my voigtlander besa II. i think that camera would be great for this scenery.

For high dynamic range scenes make sure you bracket while home scanning (stack it) then convert. Sometimes Negative Lab makes mistakes in judging the film density. PS love the channel 🫡🤙🏻

You might do better for night images with camera scanning if you bracket and then make an HDR before converting. I haven't tried this myself for night shots, but it might be worth a shot.
@BraeHunziker6 ай бұрын
Good point. I will give this a try. Thanks!
@duprebushnell24886 ай бұрын
home scan was SO much better than the lab scan but its extremely unfortunate that it just wiped the entire moon out of the frame 😆
@BraeHunziker6 ай бұрын
Right? So weird how that happens lol
@joshmcdzz69256 ай бұрын
The lab scan look better and more realistic than the home scan which looks somewhat fake( blue hour ain't as bright as that, no greens at blue hour etc..). I guess you're using the built-in light meter in the mamiya 7ii, it becomes interesting if you skip that meter and use a handheld light meter or guess the light reading and keep 'em fingers cross for the result..

I have to ask as a travel blogger. Did you have to get a permit to make a video in the National Park? I’ve heard that is a thing now which is ridiculous

As far as I am aware, you do not need a permit for non-commercial photography and videography.

@@BraeHunziker I’ve been told that being monetized on KZbin is considered commercial. I’ve been hesitant to make another video for fear of being fined but at the same time I’m sure it’s just a scare tactic. Ridiculous law anyway if you ask me.
