I quickly bought and sold my H90 and went back to H9 due to comfort level and dispaly size live. But this tutorial has me changing my mind and definitely considering the upgrade again. Excellent information!

Thank you! This pedal is amazingly versatile! And the quality of sound, of course is top notch. Being able to insert my H9 into the chain at any point makes the possibilities almost infinite. Oh, did I mention the quality of sound is top notch!!

Joe, you are probably the most articulate/knowledgable KZbin manual in a box guy I have ever viewed. Thanks for making the H90 so much easier to access. Now, if you could do a video tutorial on the Morningstar editor and MC6Pro, I would 'pay' to have those as reference tools. Thanks man!

I paired the MC6 Pro on a board with the H90 and a Darkglass Microtubes Infinity. I have a couple pedal options to use as inserts in the H90 as well. Currently Have a Walrus Audio Julia and the other insert option is open for now. There is a MC8 and H90 video, you can search for on YT, really helpful for setting up the MIDI aspect. My MC6 has Prog up/down, activate, and select/perform as well as insert on/off so far. My Expression pedal is mapped to CC 10 so I can assign that to any parameter that I want control of on the H90. Very cool stuff!

OMG, you fixed the issue I was having at the 49:20 second mark. I could not figure out why my Q value was only going from 75 to 100 when mapped to an external MIDI expression pedal connected to my MC6 Pro. The control range was what I was missing! Thanks so much!!!

Thank you for this tutorial! would it be possible to have a dry signal coming out of one output, and a completey wet out of the other?
@EventideAudio
@EventideAudio 4 ай бұрын
In Part 3 of the tutorial series we cover how to use Inserts as splitters for this type of signal flow, so it would be possible, for example, to have a dry signal come out of Out 3 while wet signal is coming out of Out 1(&2).

Great tutorial! :) Has the H90 any Internal controllers available like followers or LFO's? I would particularly like to control parameters dynamically depending on the input level.. Thanks
@EventideAudio
@EventideAudio 11 ай бұрын
Currently, no, there aren’t any LFOs for this type of control, though the H90 does accept control voltages and MIDI for similar control externally. We welcome this type of recommendation in our user forums where our developers keep an eye.
@pangea2003
@pangea2003 11 ай бұрын
Unfortunately, I do think that lacking internal controllers to control parameters dynamically is eminently a big constraint in the H90. So I would like to see a minimum of pitch and volume envelope followers, LFO's, and ADSR's available internally to program the H90 creatively. Thank you @@EventideAudio

I´m about to buy one, just depending on an answer on how manny effects can I have at the same time on the H90. Is this unit capable of having such a string of effects as compressor > chorus > detune > delay > reverb at the same time?
@EventideAudio
@EventideAudio 9 ай бұрын
The H90 can only provide two algorithms at a time. If you are looking to use 5 dedicated effects for each category, it’s not possible. However, many Eventide algorithms are multifaceted. For example, our SpaceTime algorithm provides chorusing, dual vintage delay and plate reverb in one. We also have an EQ/Compressor algorithm. The combination of these two can get you great results.

Thank you! Do you have anything that explains which order I should put this in with my other pedals? I'm not sure which is best? Should it be before my noise gate/overdrive/distortion? or after? If I use a mixer pedal, where should that be? Thank you so much!
@EventideAudio
@EventideAudio 9 ай бұрын
The answer to this can vary depending on what types of effects you’re using on the H90. But in general, I’d place any gain-based effects like OD/Distortion, Wah, and compression before the H90. With noise gates it depends where in your signal chain your distortion is or whether you get your dirt from the amp’s preamp section or not. If you’re just using a gate to quiet down a noisy single coil guitar, put it early in the chain. But, if you’re using it to quiet down the lead channel of a monster amp, you may need it in the amp’s effects loop.

Is this a stereo pedal? How would that be wired in back?

How can I connect my headphones to the H90 to get stereo sound?
@EventideAudio
@EventideAudio Ай бұрын
The H90 does not have a headphone output, so in order to monitor the output in silence, you’ll need to connect the H90 to a device that has a headphone output - a mixer, a stereo cab emulator with hdph out, or an audio interface with direct monitoring.

33:48 what's a point? if out2 is not connected then h90 works in mono. why stereo insert?
@EventideAudio
@EventideAudio 11 ай бұрын
We are simply showing the connections for a stereo insert. In the case where only Out 1 is connected the H90 would convert an internal stereo path to mono. Connect Out 2 to another amp, and H90 reconfigures to stereo.

I had to pause 8 minutes in to thank you for using fingers on the "foot" switches and not some dirty boot or greasy sneaker. I'll give you guys a marketing tip: ship them switch cover pads with your pedals as a bonus cuz I can't believe the cost of even one of those little plastic things the size of a one dollar guitar pick.

This thing is very complicated. Sure, there are obviously people that can master the finer points, and that’s fine, but there should also be a simple way of adjusting parameters on the fly. Have I missed it?

Press the Parameters button. Press the P LED button to edit Program parameters or press A or B buttons to edit preset parameters. Use SELECT to move through pages of parameters. As they appear on the screen, is the three quick knobs to make adjustments.
