+Adrian Dmoch Hey Adrian, My husband and I are doing this hike soon (in a week :-)) also with no guides. I'm wondering how you found the glacier crossings? Were they difficult to navigate? I've read stories of people feeling the glaciers shift and others who recommend a guide, but then there are stories like yours where no guide is needed. Thanks :-) Marcelina
@AdrianDmoch8 жыл бұрын
+Mila's Dance Party Hi Marcelina, crossing the khumbu glacier was a bit hard to navigate. You just have to focus for about an hour and looking for a small pile of strones which are trail markrers. In our movie in 4:42 you can see how look a middle of the khumbu glacier. HAVE FUN!;]

Hej, MEGA film Panowie!
@AdrianDmoch8 жыл бұрын
hej, dzieki i ciesze sie ze sie podoba;] zrobilismy duzo wiecej niz zakladalimy i tempo mielismy dosc szybkie bo m.in ominelismy dzien przerwy na aklimatyzaje w Namche - bez problmu jak sie okazalo i to byl nasz pierwszy raz az na takich wyskosciach. Ad1. sony rx100 m3 Ad2.

Great video. What an amazing journey! I've researched and watched several video's on this trek. Why did you decide not to use sherpa's and or a guide service? Was it hard to arrange accommodations? How much time did you spend planning this trip? The details seem endless! Congratulations on a great experience. Thanks for sharing.
@AdrianDmoch8 жыл бұрын
its easy to navigate there, and it's more fun to do it by yourself;] and there is no problem with accommodations, there is a lot of lodges and for sure u will find a place to sleep and eat, i dont remember how much time i took me to plan this, but i think taht somethin about a month, have fun!

My cousin and I are looking at having a go at it the traditional route...backpacking from Jiri all the way up to Lukla then onward without guides or porters. I am sure we will end up taking multiple side-trips like you guys did. My biggest question during the planning is, aside from the Everest base trail where tea houses are plentiful, did you have any problem finding food and lodging on your side trips off the beaten path? I would rather not carry shelter if not necessary. BTW...the video is amazing, you've given me inspiration ;)
@AdrianDmoch8 жыл бұрын
not at all, along 3 passes way there is also a lot tea houses, so you dont have to worry, just go early to have time to reach closest village after the pass
