You can actually pull the elastic keeper over the buckle so that it deals with the dangle but you don't have to roll it up. It holds the 2 pieces of strap together at all times whilst allowing you to adjust the length. For me this is much easier than having the rolled up chunk dangling around.

not sure if it’s maybe because i’m a bigger dude (191cm/ 6ft 3 ish and 115kg) but the bellroy venture 2.5L sling works perfect for me as a sling and as a fanny pack, and I have used it as both for edc and at festivals. It’s literally an almost perfect bag, just wish they made that sunglasses mesh compartment a bit tighter

The strap attachment system on the Bellroy slings (the accordian folds on the bag with attachment loops) is the ultimate solution as it gives the perfect fit in both waist pack and cross-body positions. Any solution that auto-adjusts the position and angle of the strap totally wins over a bag that doesn't have that capability.
@Nomads.Nation3 ай бұрын
interesting cuz I find it to be less ideal in waist-mode as I prefer a beefier strap system

Not much a sling person, i do own the Gram28 154 and this Evergood CAS ver. 1. Sold the former, as i still prefer the utilitarian vibe of this sling.

I watch several videos from different KZbin channels about bags, and I like Nomads' analysis system. But one question that no one has yet addressed is: "Do these PU laminated zippers prevent water from entering through the coil in the center? If the answer is no, then the PU is useless and only serves to raise the price. Not to mention the fact that if the seams are not sealed, once again the PU laminated zipper is useless. Brands claim that their bags are waterproof, when in fact they are at most water repellent. Of course, no one is going to use this type of urban bag in rivers or the sea, but when you are traveling by bicycle, motorcycle, or even on foot, and are surprised by a heavy summer rain, the unsealed seams and the zipper will not keep the water out. Sealed seams and AquaSeal zipper, that is what waterproof is. A dedicated video on this subject would be great. I am from Brazil. My text is translated with Google, I do not speak English, sorry. I watch the videos using the subtitles with automatic translation from KZbin.
@Nomads.Nation3 ай бұрын
they don't 100% prevent it, but they are more weather-proof than NOT having them. I wouldn't say that makes them useless. If you want a fully waterproof bag you gotta get a scuba bag
@cafeapaka75013 ай бұрын
I believe the reputable bags will claim weather proof not water proof - but from the experience of a heavy rain while packed out in the western pacific of the Marianas, yes the PU coated zips prevent rain from getting into the pack most definitely.
@TakeTheInitiative3 ай бұрын
Ortlieb is probably the only brand for that sort of thing.
@BrZi385013 ай бұрын
No PU coated zipper is a pro for me because they are easier to open and I don’t live in a rain forest to have benefit of extra water resistance 😅

well Evergoods is a small business, it's extremely hard to keep up with demand and forecast accurately, especially when some products flop and other take off.

I’m baffled that the strap can be adjusted on one end via a closed-loop system, yet a dangle system remains. Why? Closed-loop is the way to go, imo. I do appreciate buckle moved to the side.

100 bucks is cheap? What a fip off. You guys sound like a bunch of women talking about purses. You can buy a good sling for less than $20 bucks.
@Nomads.Nation3 ай бұрын
love comments like these, I get them all the time 😂 First up - I totally agree that you can get a solid sling for less than $20, I've reviewed a bunch! But you get what you pay for. Those bags will be made with cheaper materials, won't be as well constructed, and offer no protection for your purchase. In contrast, Evergoods bags are made with the highest quality materials, are incredibly abrasion/weather resistant, AND they come with a lifetime warrantee, so it can literally be the last bag you ever buy. Bags are like cars - you can buy a Kia or a Bentley - both get you to the same place, just in different ways. If you want to have an adultlike conversation about this moving forward instead of trying to insult, I'm happy to. Have a great day :)
