The aluminum stays are not in the handle fabric even in the CTB or CPL. They are in the body where the handles attach, so that the bag doesn't bow in when carrying with the handle. Even in the TD35, there are 2 aluminium stays - that is to help the top stay open when stretched out.

Great videos always Danny. The duffel looks like it can carry more than the CTB35.

Thank you for watching! So far it’s definitely felt like it can hold a good amount more

Bought this bag, really wanted to love it.. But the handles are not comfortable and I couldn't stand how the shoulder strap attached. Sold it and bought the Goruck kit bag v2. While slightly smaller the shoulders strap worked better for me.

Im comparison between this and the goruck kit bag which have the big capacity ? And how much its this space difference?(like how much packing cube you can add)

I can tell you from personal experience. For a 3 day trip the size even while on paper are different… both fit all my stuff perfectly. Only benefit the Evergoods had IMO was the baked in organization. I was able to fit two 14.17"L x 2.56"W x 11.22"H packing cubes, a pair of sandals, Cap 2 in both bags no issues.Hope that helps.

@toddnishimoto thank you alot ! I usually travel with 1 or 2 bag configuration for 2 weeks, and I'm searching a bag that can be used for the big bag (now I'm using a atd1) but in a duffle style , and a second bag like a gr1 or gr2 26l for a personal item . Your information are golden if you have some other tips about this two duffle I'm really happy to ear you

Thoughts on this as a gym bag?
@dannypacks9 ай бұрын
Thank you for watching! I think it could work in general, but might be a little big if you’re not carrying a bunch of stuff and it doesn’t have a dedicated shoe compartment which might be nice for a gym bag imo

@@dannypacks gotcha! Thank you, I will have to order one and try it out and see if it works. Seems like such an awesome bag

I'm also not convinced that putting your laptop in that pocket is going to be safe. Just way too close to any outside bumps even with padding. I would have preferred if they had found a solution for it to go inside, or removed it entirely.

There’s enough room so you can put your lap top in its own sleeve, then put it in the lap top compartment. And if you don’t want to use it as a lap top compartment it’s a good size for other things, like an umbrella, or packable jacket, or documents, or a book, or a notebook/journal. Getting rid of it all together as you suggested seems very silly.

I think they could have included a better strap for the money. 35 L can get heavy quickly.
