Nice techniques man. Great to see this product demonstrated. Gives me a good idea of how it performs. I hyperextended my elbow once using a spring loaded bag like this, but it was a lot lighter tension than this. Possibly a bag in the garage with a ceiling mount into a beam is gonna be the way I go

Excellent review. It looks like you can hit it with some power, and it forces you to remember defence (blocks, slips and so on) due to the recoil. After seeing this, I might buy one that is selling used. I'd use it for boxing (no kicks) for myself and my PT clients.

I can recommend this. I am 6'2" and weigh 13 stone. I really whack this bag but when filled with water it doesn't move at all on my concrete garage floor. I need to re-tighten the bolts in the base but have ordered spring washers to fix this issue. Overall for the price this is great.

Great video man. Funny story: I spotted this at a good price randomly when looking for gloves earlier today. Had been researching speed bags and double end bags the past week or so to date. When I spotted this I thought I'd quite fancy to add something that I could kick but was sceptical at the price. A quick Google brought up your video top of the list and within a few minutes I'd ordered one! Couldn't wait to get it home and set up! Tried at first with great success some water but am gonna go track down sone sand over the next few days. Thanks so much for the great video which 100% assisted and influenced my purchasing decision!! Richie 🇮🇪

i ordered a bag like this last week, it still hasn't arrived due to me being in a different country, I saw many reviews on this product and I seriously recommend it, please tell me your review on it if that's possible .
@RichardDonelan
@RichardDonelan 2 жыл бұрын
@@jules9367 So far it's been great for me! I did a lot of research about speed bags and double end bags but as I set out above - this was a bit of an impulse purchase... I'm actually in the process of editing a video about weighting it down. Key points: I did not want to use water because I was nervous the water might eventually spill out or worse - go bad! My solution was to use sand. A sticker comes in the box recommending 200lbs (90kg) of sand. I'd understood that "play sand" was used by other for various similar applications including filling sandbags for rucking. I also saw someone else fill a different Everlast product with sand and it looked super easy. That guy appeared to be using kiln dried sand. What I did't know was that the sand I bought was going to be wet! It seems that's the way it's sold - at least in Ireland anyway! The first bag was a total nightmare to try to pour into the base. That was a full workout in and of itself. After that I waited for a warm, dry day and unfolded a tarp on concrete tiles. I emptied the sand out and spread it as thinly and evenly as possible using a shovel and rake. I related this process for a few days until I had dried all the rest of the sand I was going to use and a little over. Nice and dry the sand poured freely as one might expect sand to pour. So make sure you use dry sand or dry your sand before you use it was the most thing I wish I knew before I started! Hope that helps anybody else.... Feel free to ask me any specific questions!

@@RichardDonelan in my country its pretty hard to find sand, so I might fill it with water, many people with this product told me to use water instead, so I will do that, my question is: is it easy to assemble?
@RichardDonelan
@RichardDonelan 2 жыл бұрын
@@jules9367 - yes - very easy to assemble. Turn the bag upside down when it arrives (bag itself is foam filled and ready to use) and then place a rubber plate over the middle of the end of the bottom of the bag that is now facing you. The rubber ring is confusing in that it looks the same both ways up - keep the hollow part facing away from the bag. Line up the shaft of the upright - there are four holes for the bolts. Hadn't tighten the screws at diagonals - just like when bolting a car wheel - then give a final tighten with the supplied allen key. When you have the base filled (water or sand as you prefer) invert the bag and line up the bottom of the shaft of the upright with the four holes on the base that you've already filled. Tighten the bolts in the same manner as set out above. Would suggest not over tightening at first - just until the bolt feels like it doesn't want to turn anymore. As others have also suggested, I'd definitely recommend checking the bolts after the first couple of uses! Also, this is totally optional but I used some bike grease on the bottom bolts just incase I ever had to take them off again as the shaft of the upright that connects the bag with the base covers the fill opening. Hope that helps and that you enjoy this bag as much as I do!

Would this be good for a upstairs apartment I need something sturdy that won’t be harsh on the floor
@RichardDonelan
@RichardDonelan 2 жыл бұрын
Once filled with the recommended 200lbs (90kg) sand it won't be going anywhere! I'd check the floor though to make sure it can handle the load and also bear in mind that if it was a timber floor with joists running below and no insulation that it could be noisy for anyone who might be living below. Also, I wouldn't fill it with water if using in an apartment in case it leaked! Would also consider using some kind of none slip material under it to protect any floor coverings and to ensure no sand / debris (small stones) got stuck under it - especially if you had a nice floor to begin with!

If you use sand use kiln dried sand or else you'll be there days filling it with slightly damp builders sand as it clogs up into small lumps and is a nightmare to fill, whereas kiln dried sand pours in akin to water.

Yeah my combos aren't boxing combos. I use the Bas Rutten system which doesn't work as well on this bag. That's a plus though as it forces you to mix up your rhythm and timings.
