It will come out in about a month and have random loot with free trade (nothing is tagged as "no Drop"). Unfortunately, it's truebox which means you can not box until they remove that limitation.

@@doctornachoz8099 Thanks for the info. It might be good to get in groups again. I boxed for so long.. it's a bit boring. Going back to the early days. Grouping was fun and I made some good friends as we conquered all those dungeons. My first Blade of Zalgoz! I was so proud. I assume you have to be paying customer to access the new servers? I think I have 8 or 10 Krono on my account.

whats your guesstimate that a kronos would sell for on a new tlp server 10k ?

on the first day I remember Kronos selling for about 600p. The next day it was 1200p. If you'd like to sell a krono to buy gear, It is best to wait until there's a lot of raid gear floating around the market. On Mischief (older server with same ruleset) best in slot group gear became so common it was practically given away. Loot from Plane of Fear and Plane of Hate was selling for cheap prices too. Since this is a very popular ruleset, there will be a lot of krono sellers in addition to oversupply of loot. It's going to be a very interesting economy!

what about city of mist? lots of kite space, if you know the spawn points,

City of Mist is a good place to level, but the random loot mobs come into place once you can take on the level 49 mobs. I like the place too :)

How does the random loot system work? Will the mob have standard drop chance for its usual drop, and then % chance to drop extra random loot? Or is it totally random so no point in targetting a specific mob?

The random loot works off named mobs + or - 2 levels within each expansion. For example, Halara is level 40, but will share the same loot pool as level 38-42 named (group level) mobs only from the kunark expansion. Raids are done differently and use a Tier system. I'm not too familiar with the Tier system because it changes a lot depending on the expansion and what Darkpaw decides to include or exclude from the loot pool of each raid mob. So yes, no point in targeting a single mob. It's better to find an area which has more named or easier mobs to kill. There are some in Classic, like Rahotep, who spawn very fast, so those are the ones you want. This ruleset changes the group strategy a lot.

@@doctornachoz8099 Thanks for the detailed answer. I've managed to lure some friends into playing EQ on Teek. Our pipe dream is to explore old dungeons rather than sitting at a camp and chain pull. It might be hard in the more popular zones with ppl camping all the spots, but we just want to explore, not going for efficiency.

This will be the server to do that on. Since the server opens will Kunark, the usual classic dungeons won't be as crowded and will be a lot more fun with random loot.

The test server
