It was great and a huge relief that Everton could win today and especially doing it by coming from behind! We all know that football is also so much psychology. After our difficult start to the season it's understandable there were nerves in our play in the beginning. In truth during the first half we were at times outplayed by Palace, partly because we lost the the ball so cheaply. Especially Lindstrom and McNeil were dispossessed far too easily. Although Ndiaye is also quite slightly built, he showed how to shield and keep hold of the ball, also in tight situations. Hopefully Lindstrom will come to terms with the physical demands of the Premier League. We conceded once again after a corner and were lucky to escape another setback from a similar situation. McNeil came good in the second half especially with his two great goals. The first one was a superb strike. We played also some very good football, passing confidently and keeping the possession. Those periods should have lasted longer, though. Think we were too much on the back foot. Thankfully this time we held on to the final whistle. Should think this psychologically crucial win gives us real belief and confidence for our players to begin to play more freely and more possession based football in our forthcoming matches. After all we know that we do have the players capable of doing it!

taking lindstrom off at the half was the right choice and kept Ndiaye on, got Gueye in to defend the win. All the right moves.

Well done Sean, stick at it. Lots of stick but let’s not forget and i’am not a fan of SD, he kept us up twice. Means a lot to me but he needs to change his approach now he has a better squad, his squad. UTFT

Fair doos to McNeil; we need Dyche to keep us a mid-table; fingers crossed! It is a low bar, and we should not be happy or realistic but not happy! This manager and team are disjointed. There is no balance, and thankfully, on two occasions, McNeill's left foot and centre of balance came to the fore!

Was a great performance today obviously more so the 2nd half but i thought the central midfield area was the best we have put in this season. Palace have some great players so to go behind then battle back and get ahead and really just see it out pretty comfortably. Dwight's 1st was a screamer and the pass touch and control for the 2nd was great. Good all round performance from them all. Same again next week 👍
