In the comics, Gwen Stacy is from an alternate reality where she became a spider hero instead of Peter. In that reality she was a member of a band as their drummer. The band is called The Mary Janes with Mary Jane as the lead singer. Ghost Spider has come over to the main Marvel universe a few times, and I believe right now she is permanently in the main universe.

Is it me or are these videos flying by! Your videos are my favorite part of the holiday season Jeremy! I'm so happy to see a minifigure starting the day off! The Christmas sweaters from City have been sensational! I love this mini figure and all his accoutrement. Hey, you need an axe to cut the tree down, right? The Millennium Falcon is a supercool build, go Star Wars! Spooky looking minifigure Spiderman. Ghost Spider freaks me out. Hufflepuff's Susan Bones I agree is cute and yes, the hair is Moaning Myrtle's. Why do the the Heartlake Hooligans drill holes in the top of their critters' heads? Creepy. You've got me on the Grey punching bag, I'm at a loss. Elsa is cute and her frock has some really nice printing. There's another inexplicable hole, this time in the hair. What is that for? Maybe the minidoll hands are socket wrenches? City deserved all the points today!

millennium falcon at 5th is criminal- i’d prefer it to ghost spider or elsa. My ranking is: Friends at 6, Disney at 5, Potter at 4- wasn’t anything special for me, Spider-man at 3rd, city 2nd and actually on further reflection star wars 1st. I just like the complex build of it.

If the Millenium Falcon did not have to go up against all of the minifigs/micro dolls, I think it would have scored well. I agree with the claim that there were not any "bad" gifts today. As for the deciding factor which minifig is the best one, I think there is going to be a lot of disagreement. The target audience of each of the respective advent calendars are likely convinced they have the best minifig. City has an exclusive firefighter with the Christmas sweater, and snowshoes! Elsa is an extremely popular character for Disney, Harry Potter has provided an uncommon minifig, and I think Ghost Spider is appropriate for a Spider Man themed collection. I am guessing Star Wars will soon provide a minifig which will have virtually no competition as the others will have minibuilds.

I LOVE the hot chocolate accessory! LEGO City won gift of the day, for me! :3 Susan Bones is a cute minifigure & she is my fellow Hufflepuff (YES, I AM A PROUD HUFFLEPUFF)! :3 LEGO Friends executed much better the kitty & accessories. Elsa's metallic printing looks beautiful, sadly it is a meh gift. It is a shame Susan seemingly vanished from the films after Chris Columbus & his daughter (who played Susan in the first 2 HP films) left the franchise. Never liked Spider-Gwen/Ghost Spider. There should ONLY be ONE Spider-Man (Peter Parker). I wish they had included Firestar and Iceman instead, they were Spidey's OG amazing friends, decades before that lame Miles Morales & Spider-Gwen existed! Don't care about the Millennium Falcon this year. I recall a better miniature version in a previous calendar.

It's minifigure day! Time to disappoint some calendars that were really hoping for 6 points today! 6 points - Harry Potter. As far as I can see, Susan Bones has only come in two other sets, so really nice to get an uncommon character. 5 points - City. The figure is very nice, as is the cup of hot chocolate. 4 points - Marvel. Nice figure, but not a premium one, and I'd also be really confused about the wands if I hadn't already seen what's coming up. 3 points - Disney. As I've said before, I quite like these microdolls, but that said they just don't quite cut it on a minifigure day. 2 points - Star Wars. Whilst generic and predictable, it is at least the most iconic ship of them all, so it's only to be expected that one would be included somewhere! 1 point - Friends. I agree that it is better than City's attempt, but sadly it faced much stiffer competition today, and comes last as a result. Festive Bonus Point - City. Scores - City 43, Harry Potter 35, Disney 34, Star Wars 31, Marvel 28, Friends 27. Couple of changes in the leaderboard for me today! HP overtaking Disney and closing in on City fast, and Marvel somehow isn't the worst calendar anymore - for now, at least!
