I use the back end of a brick seperator too, works so well

The best way - which is recommended by LEGO itself - is to use Windolene. Cover the part with a bit of the liquid, place the sticker, adjust as necessary, press down, remove any excess liquid with a tissue and voila!

The best tip I have for putting on stickers is... attach the part you're trying to place it on, to the edge of a larger plate (eg. the grey 8x12 that was sat just sat offscreen in the vid). You'll get way better results when you're not trying to hold a tiny 1x6 plate with your chubby adult fingers.

I use dish soap, works even for transparent stickers. I explain it here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ppKXi5Zsjdangqc And even documented it when building the Sanctum Sanctorum: kzbin.info/www/bejne/o3rRoKOhirJgj7c This technique has made my life slightly less miserable 😅

Also, if you applied a sticker the wrong way: don't panic! It can be fixed using Robin Hood patented Hot Tea Technique

I like to use my razor knife and place the corner of a sticker on its edge to line it up to the part.

Thank you so much for making me feel better about my own sticker skills. HA! 🤣

Best tip I have is to remove the surround piece first. Then you’re not having to dig down to catch the edge and you’re not fighting the adhesive stringing out. This makes it a little more difficult to keep track of the numbers, so stick the surround to something (the box?) so that you can coordinate the numbers.

I always use isopropyl alcohol on the part first, to remove any greasy finger prints. To apply small stickers I sometimes use a brick separator tip but with any tool I find I lose the "feel" of the sticker and you get the static problem. In the end clean fingers always work best. Clean so you don't get any dust or particles under the sticker, which will look like a 'mountain' under the sticker. I hold the sticker by the edge and try to align the most complicated edge or corner first and lighty attach from there. Sometimes with smaller stickers you can rub them with a finger or thumb and generate enough warmth to soften the glue and make a very minor adjustment to position. Ultimately you have to become one with the sticker. I chant "I am one with the sticker and the sticker is with me" as I apply mine...... I still always get at least one on the wonk or with sonething under it. Dont get me started on the ones that leave the sticky behind when you try to reposition them, or the ones where they arent printed straight to the cuts, or they arent fully cut out properly so as you pull them away from the sheet they dont come away cleanly. Always my most disappointing part of any build 😂

Thank you for this! I now feel less bad about my slightly wonky sticker application. In my defense, I'm 81, with old eyes and somewhat reduced manual dexterity. One trick I have learned is to attach the element that I'm going to attach the sticker to to the edge of a larger piece. By holding on to the larger piece, I have a much steadier "target," and my fingers are not in the way.

At one point Lego suggested using window cleaner. Not sure how well it works.

8 min in and this is painful to watch 😂 Removal tip: I just slide the edge of the sticker backing sheet between the corner of the sticker and tile until I have an edge to grab. Works great

I've never had a problem using tweezers. It takes a few attempts to get it lined up due to the "static" you mention but I always get it near perfect and never leaves a mark or damages the sticker. Lego including this amount of stickers in a set feels like a %#&* you to Marvel fans.

Dog hair. If I put on more than four stickers at least one has a dog hair stuck somewhere. I thought air bubbles were annoying till my wife got dogs.😊

This was very triggering. I am the household sticker-er. I do all of them, no exceptions. Just use the brick separator and practice at centering the sticker, but please do not practice with your eyes closed. 🤦🏻♀️

No 1 rule never use the stickers no need and they will not last if you use them . Degrade Fall off Fade Lowers the sets value if used I don’t use mine just so I can look at them and they are still mint for the sets history never used them since age 5 I kept them all because some did not last and it made me sad lol
@SO-ym3zs4 сағат бұрын
Or just buy sets from manufacturers that use all prints, like Cobi and Funwhole.
@SO-ym3zs4 сағат бұрын
It's a slap in the face every time Lego uses stickers when other brands use all prints and price their sets cheaper. That said, a great way to apply stickers is to use an Xacto knife to peel up the edge from the backing sheet and lay it on the surface with the knife. Needless to say, use extreme caution with your fingers as those knives are exceptionally sharp.
@Bart-Did-it3 сағат бұрын
@ hence why I just keep them not worth using them more worth to me keeping and 99% of the time the set does not show “ things missing” ie stickers as it just looks fine tbh it’s just a decal
