@@FancoWrestling Those two are extremely too close to call. I could definitely see Lewis getting revenge but I can also see Starocci never losing to him. It's unfortunate they will only wrestle once per season as that could be one of the better rivalries I have seen in a long time. They just are too damn close to make an informed opinion on.

Sanderson by a LONG shot! Sanderson won a gold medal at the 2004 Olympics. Dake never won a gold at the Olympic and got jammed by Burroughs for a full decade! PAt Smith has TWO Olympic gold medals!

Doing it at 4 different weights is arguably just as impressive, I feel like you’re trying to say Dake is less impressive when he’s not. He did it at 4 different weights some even being in dominate fashion, he’d have to not only maintain but bulk to compete, then meet different competition every year, not wrestling the same people, meeting different styles and STILL not losing once, that’s more the impressive, and he’s beaten JB as well, solidifying him as one of the best wrestlers in US history.

It is hard not to say anyone but Cael. If you take his high school and college record he is 286- 3 with 4 sate titles and 4 national titles. That means through 8 years of wrestling you had a 1 percent chance at beating him.

Right!! He never ever gets mentioned. Haselrig would beat Gable steveson in my opinion. Most athletic heavyweight ive ever seen. I remember meeting him when I was like eight years old and he was like a giant. Seeing him at wrestling camp every year at UPJ I will never forget those days. Dude was amazing.

What about 6 time national champ Carlton Haselrig? He wrestled for the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. 3x division II ncaa national champ and 3x division I ncaa national champ. 143-2-1 Crazy thing is he never really wrestled till college.

Steiber almost deserves an asterisk. Jordan Oliver won that match. They robbed him. Jordan Oliver sat Steiber on his butt and collected both ankles. It was complete and total robbery. The refs failed and no instant replay.

Carlton Haselrig was Division 2 wrestler who won 3 titles in D 2, and 3 in 1.Back then, D2 and D3 wrestlers who won respective divisions were invited to D1 NCAA tournament. He won 3 years in a row! The NCAA stopped doing it! It's referred to as the Haselrig rule(unofficially). He beat Kurt Angle

I’m going with Dake! Dude did it at 4 different weight classes and those 4 weight classes are notoriously attached with great wrestlers every year. And one of his championships was against fricken David Taylor!!!! Current USA national team member and world and Olympic champion. Kyle Dake also eventually dethroned Jordan Burroughs from his 74KG spot for the Olympics. Legendary resume!

For me it's gotta be Dake not only moving up in weight every year but his senior year going up to face the returning hodge trophy winner interesting though I wasnt aware Steiber beat Oliver and Ramos for 2 of his titles gives me a better appreciation of his 4 timer status all are unbelievable,feats of endurance passion and determination dedication hard work etc.....

All are great. Cael is probably the best. Also went on to win Olympic Gold. I love Logan Stieber, but that finals vs Oliver was a very flawed match. Referees really blew it.

New eligibility rules are completely unfair to freshman. Last year there were 25 year Olds wrestling 18 year Olds. 7 years of eligibility is stupid.

Obviously RBY can't go for 4 but another interesting note is that if he keeps winning, Starocci could technically win FIVE TITLES, Cuz he gets the extra COVID year. though we gotta get through this year first. John Smith in prep for the Olympics he would workout all day and workout at night because his biggest competitor was Russian, Smith did not want to rest when they were working out.
