People don't realize that these wrestlers excel in MMA because of their fitness level, their strength training and their dedication to getting better at everything they do. These life skills carry these men much further than wrestling being a good foundation for MMA would ever bring them.

These wrestlers don't even really need much BJJ training. They could roll into most BJJ gyms and submit everyone up to the very good purple belts and even then you may need a brown belt to stop them.

Bjj is so incredibly overrated, especially when you can buy your way up the belt rankings or be handed undeserved belts for celebrities.. Ashton Kutcher a brown belt...gtfo... Russell brand..purple belt Zuck the cuck blue belt..my little sister could make that perverted robot tap... Elite wrestling is much more useful in life, mma, and in a street fight... Cam you imagine Gordon Ryan in a street fight, he just plops down on his ass waiting for his drunk opponent to crawl into his arms...no he's going to sprint at him & punt his head off like masvidal Baptistized the funk master.... Chael, Matt Hughes, colby, usman, sean brady, Daniel Cormier, CCC, aljamain sterling, TJ, justin G ( even though he never uses it) And Don forgot the Russian grapplers, even though they have all been juiced up since JR HIGH, and you all know it...khaboob, ahmish islam, one eyed willy, ect

It’s true they’ve turned their bodies into this never tiring weapon doing things they’re not supposed to. In the first round it’s hard to believe, they aren’t winded. Like they just get up and keep going calmly. Any other athlete would be destroyed by that

When Bo talked about this moment he made a point to mention that the Penn state guy who ran up to congratulate him was mark hall, who had just lost his match in the 174lb finals. But instead of crying to himself, he was super amped for his teammate.

I've watched this a hundred times. I love looking at the crowd. The OS fans are so pumped up and filled with hope and excitement when Bo goes to his back. You can actually hear the color drain from their face when Bo flips him lol. At first they are jumping pumping their fists to sitting back down with the ultimate face of dispare in an instant. Their faces are priceless I literally can't get enough of this! I'm so glad you put this back up.

I know other people have said it in the comments, but I 100% believe Bo will be UFC champion one day. He is 5-0 in MMA right now, with only 2 of those fights being in the UFC, each being finishes in the 1st round. I believe Bo and Khamzat Chimaev will eventually run into each other at the top, maybe even for the 185 pound UFC title, and Bo will beat him.

Ya with a minor adjustment that could easily be a mounted guillotine. The wrestling move he used here is called “the gator bacon” Which can be done as a counter to a takedown attempt (like here) or done simply from the front headlock position. It’s a front headlock with an underhook, you spin to the underhook side and stick the pin. What he did here was impressive, he countered his takedown attempt and immediately got the reversal directly into a pin. Crazy.

@@andreasmith901 They had a rivalry in college ending with this match. Bo won 7 and he won 2 out of the 9 times they wrestled in college. Those 2 wins over Bo are 2 out of the 3 losses that Bo took in college.

@@andreasmith901 😂😂😂 Ya the guy Bo just pinned in this very video! Bo avenged that 2016 loss in 2018 in this very video we’re commenting on and pinned him minutes into the match. Btw throughout both Bo & Miles NCAA career, they wrestled a bunch of times, Bo’s career record against Miles is 7-2 😂😂😂. Bo beat him 7 times & Miles beat him Twice. Those 2 losses are 2 out of Bo’s 3 total losses in his entire NCAA career! So ya, Miles beat him twice but Bo beat him 7 times to eventually end & win their rivalry. Nice try though 😂

From a technical standpoint, Myles Martin became overzealous and rushed to Bo’s head (for potential back points/fall); however, his head was buried in the mat, his hips extremely high. Unfortunately, for him, he made this horrible mistake against an incredible opponent and paid dearly. Could have settled back immediately when they went to the mat, secured both legs tightly below the knees, and proceeded slowly and cautiously from there but his overzealous, aggressive nature cost him; however, He’s still a Champion regardless. 😃

Looked like Bo kept his leg/knee up though elevating Martin's hips so he could not get them closer to the mat.

@@johnnybeefum I agree with you my friend. I still believe Martin should have secured both of Bo’s legs (preferably) below the knee level with both hands LOCKED leaning no space between Bo’s legs and Martin’s chest while simultaneously settling back then walking slowly to the head. This is a skill that must be drilled until it becomes muscle memory. Most wrestlers become overzealous in certain situations trying to do too much and, in my opinion, this was one of them. However, Martin is still an amazing young man and a Champion nonetheless.

ya martin took away his left arm post in order to secure the nearfall, he tries to post it back out when bo elevates him but its too late by then
