I just want y'all to know that this video made me create a "Jesse recommends" tag on my Storygraph. And like, that tag was long overdue, tbh 😅 For all the years I've followed y'all I don't think y'all have steered me wrong even once! I trust y'alls taste in books completely, but my working memory is terrible (ADHD and so, so many burnouts will apparently do that to a person) so this is to make sure I can actually remember what titles y'all recommend and hopefully prioritise them 😍

More so than any other genre, I feel like horror is deeply personal. What scares someone is so reliant on who they are as a person and what they’ve lived through, so it’s always a gamble when you take horror-recommendations from someone. I love that I’ve found someone who has such similar taste in horror as me, so I can safely trust your opinion on those book. I too loved All the White Spaces; I read the ARC last year and have been shouting at everyone to read it since. I’m currently reading The Hollow Places after hearing you talk about it, and I’m having the same reaction: had to take some breaks cause it freaked me out so much. Still LOVING it though… Amazing video as always! I love the long ones.

I also couldn't rate Tomorrow x3 when I was writing my story graph review. I was just so torn. The portrayal of Sam's disability and the handling of Sadie's relationship abuse sickened me. And yet I really loved my reading experience. I was really swept up in the book, I felt deeply while reading, and adored getting to focus on a platonic relationship for once.

If you like Bae Doona I strongly recommend watching K-drama "Stranger" (a.k.a. "'Secret Forest" or "Forest of Secrets"). I loved Sun in "Sense8" but Yeo Jin (Doona's character in "Stranger") is just one of my favorite characters of all time. 😍

Solid list! Thanks for sharing. Thanks for sharing this material 😊. It always comes in handy. I think there are a lot of books out there that most people don't know about that should get a lot more exposure. A friend gave me When Dying Is Not a Problem, and I liked it quite a bit, but very few people know about it.

I was reading two books last December-January but discontinued it because they were so boring 😩😩 This year I've finished not a single book (and honestly, I don't see myself getting back to reading soon, with how strict I am with my standards and hectic schedule). Glad you're having fun!!

I read Tread of Angels in March as well and my feelings are… mixed. I loved the world building, I thought that was amazing, but I ended up hating the MC, I wanted to reach into the pages and slap her, and by the end I was just depressed. I also read it just after another disappointing book, so it was a double whammy. I had to read a romcom just to get back into my groove. Thanks for the great video!

Just a heads up that the author of manhunt is verryyy biphobic if that is something you'd want to know ahead of time. And good to know y'alls thoughts on tomorrow 3x. I am going to read it as I own it and want to know what the hype is about but its always good to hear y'all's reveiw as well. I have not so pure and simple by lamar giles so will read that one first, but suuuper excited to read the getaway as well now 😍 THE PLATFORM IS ALSO ONE OF MY FAVOURITE HORROR FILMS. And loved parasite too. Smh we need to have a horror film night if I ever get my butt to the US. I tend to enjoy grady hendrix so I'm glad y'all saw really enjoyed the new haunted house one! Still need to get around to it and that ghost on the signed page is so cute.

If you like Moths you might like Y the last man it's a graphic novel about woman running the world in a post apocalyptic world & it kind of explains how if woman were in charge America would not be the power house because other countries have more woman mechanics, firefighters, soldiers etc
