If you're just using blog tours as a sales avenue you're right they aren't great. If you're using it to drive sales to your direct marketing options, that's a different story. It's content marketing. It's a tool that can help if you keep an SEO mindset when creating the content for the tour. It's not huge returns but it's solid for brand building and over time traffic. JMHO and it has been my experience

I imagine that once your cover and title and book blurb and author bio are all on point one should be able to advertize without trying to garner book reviews/ratings. At least I hope so.

I read your article on comparing ACX with Findaway but nowhere in the article does it answer the question why ACX doesnt mention ISBNs for audio books and Findaway ask if you want to use their free ISBN or do you want to use your own -which would you recommend? Does using Findaways give them ownership of your book?
